Re: Possibility of a hybrid Radio GCS running openTX

My thought was to start with a turnigy 9x and use its LCD to display model info and the "standard" transmitter info. I would use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Lilliput-Frame-To ... B005TX3HSA to display the computer side of things.

Possibility of a hybrid Radio GCS running openTX

I'm curious if it would be possible to port openTx to a beaglebone black or something similar to create a radio capable of running GCS software as well as function as a transmitter. If it is possible does anyone have any suggestions as to a starting point with a project like this?

Thanks,

Loren

Re: Switch alarm sound wont stop

I think I have it sorted out, but still have a question or two. There are a couple of pictures attached. Somehow the transistor mounted at the top on the stick side of the switch daughter board got squished and had the legs shorted together. The transistor at the top right of this board: 20141127_16...

Switch alarm sound wont stop

This morning I was attempting to add a switched auxiliary power output for my fpv monitor. I was careful not to melt anything I shouldn't have, I also double & triple checked the pads I was soldering to with a multimeter (continuity). When I put everything back together the alarm that sounds whe...

Re: How hard would a DIY transmitter be

What would your goal be ? I dont think a custom implementation would be cost effective but you could probably get a lot of options. I think that I have a thought or two (not very well thought out though)... https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-s2EV_RdDt9g/Uiyb1LC3PbI/AAAAAAAAAuk/7nsuIZhdFBI/w1118-h60...

Re: How hard would a DIY transmitter be

That's a good point that I hadn't thought of. Would using something like a frsky DJT satisfy most clubs concerns?

How hard would a DIY transmitter be

I've been fascinated by people coming up with their own ground station/transmitter. Is it possible to load opentx onto a arduino mega? I have to think that it's a little more involved than hooking a couple of gimbals and switches up, or am I wrong?

thanks for the input,

Loren

Re: Module advice

I just had a thought. I'm using a zigbee to provide a telemetry link to the mission planner from my quad. Would implementing another zigbee to provide telemetry data for the 9x be easier or should I stick with my original plan of using the telemetry in the DJT or XJT?

Re: Module advice

If I get the xjt will I be able to adapt it for use like the djt or will the installation process be more involved because it's a new product?

Module advice

Hello, I currently have a Turnigy 9x and programmer on the way. I'm wondering though what module to get. I would like to utilize the frysky telemtry. I'm also interested in the XJT but also get the impression that not much (in the way of firmware) has been developed for it. Is there still a way to u...
