I think it actually should flash blue light.
Did you use auto update or select board types manually. Bind problems are likely if you flashed wrong HW type.

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
Broken antenna pigtail is a common problem with OrangeRX units and the 1W module is likely damaged by reflected RF. You can swap the RFM23BP (433MHz) on it though. This also explains some of the binding trouble, the reflected RF can freeze the module and there is a bit less checks during binding tha...

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
I need a little help. First problem: I just bought an OrangeRX LRS, and updated the firmware on both the TX and RX, however I can't get the RX to bind to the TX when the TX is connected to the configurator. Therefore I can't access the RX in the configurator, which I think is causing my second prob...

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
Just wondering, Does OpenLRSng support SBUS INPUT ? If not how hard would it be to add it? (I haven't played with OpenLRSng for over a year so I'm a bit out of date) I'm mainly interested in it from a latency standpoint for flying mini quads. With PPM it seems to be a minimum of around 45ms - 22.5 ...

Re: DIY OpenLRS Hardware for PPM Only
Aye, there are a few small ones around. This is mostly a learning experience for me! Electronics is a hobby, and I have to learn by reading, and by cocking up. :) Plus, there's an element of fun with making something to fit exactly what I need. Gives me something to fiddle around with in the evenin...

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
Two Questions: 1. I've looked in the code and found the microrx eagle file.. When is that thing going to happen? is there any shop? Since i rarely use the servo-outputs that thing would be perfekt for many of my builds.. It is not currently being manufactured, however a slightly bigger board '4ch r...

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
First I had no ftdi so I use USBASP to upload the latest firmware to tx & rx If you flashed the openLRSng hex file using an usbasp you'll have wiped the arduino bootloader off the board. Not sure if it is needed to use the serial functions, but that could be a pointer. Does it mean I have to bu...

Re: [SUPPORT] OpenLRSng support thread
When you speak about "serial interface", is the Arduino terminal inside IDE ? (I'm using Windows 7 64bits) You can use arduino serial monitor but teraterm or putty will work better. If you want to hack code then you can enable ppm by modifying binding.h:RxInitDefaults() however that is no...

Hi, I just got a DTF UHF delux tx and a 6ch rx from MRSS. I am moving from x8r with smartport which I used for the last half a year with a apm2.6 . I was able to connect apm 2.6 telemetry to the smartport via teensy3.1 mod by Rolf Blomgren at DIYD (http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/amp-to-frsky-x8r...

I have the Hawkeye UHF JR module and the black 9ch RX. In the configurator I see the firmware for these but also on the top the Kha firmware. Hello, I just wonder if it is or will be possible to use the 9ch hawkeye LRS UHF RX as transmitter for dataradio (433) so I can use it with the missionplanner? Re: openlrs and taranis (telemetry)
Taranis smartport is on the pin marked ant on the adapter. You need to connect the serial tx onto that via a invertter to make it work.
As openlrsng does not need the ppm invertter you could reuse that

Taranis telemetry instructions
To get telemetry workking with FrSky taranis following modification should be performed on the TX moduule.
HawkEye 1W TX modification
DTFUHF deluxeTX modification
OrangeRX UHF TX
It should be noted that the "internal module" must be switched OFF to make the telemetry work.

Re: openlrs and taranis (telemetry)
So, it would be rather easy to make openLRS module output inverted signal, I can design a XOR port inside so that the signal can be inverted by software when needed. hi, I have signal inverters like this: http://www.flashrc.com/flyboard/10697-s_bus_inverseur_flyboard_pour_fc_mikrokopter_v088_sup.ht...

Hi kha, today I tested to feed my open lrs TX with PPM from trainer port of Spectrum DX6i so with PPM from completely different source and result was exactly the same as with Optic 6 - I have CH1 permanently at 2000 microseconds, other channels OK. Re: openlrs and taranis (telemetry)
Many have modified their FrSky DJT to use the same pinout, with the telemetry Tx and Rx on pins 2 and 5 (TX on pin 5 is data From the module). This signal is at RS232 levels (inverted therefore), and the 9X is modified with a buffer-invertor to allow for this. The Taranis Sport signal, also on pin ...
