Re: OpenTX 2.1 released!
Thanks Kilrah, I don't know how but I had missed the 'long press' on the source field to cycle through options. Works fine now.

Re: OpenTX 2.1 released!
Not sure if this is a real issue or just my stupidity but I am unable to adjust a global variable in special functions using a slider. I am unable to select any slider, pot or channel in the list using the transmitter. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? I am following this guide ... http://o...

Taranis+Spektrum trainer port capabilities and requirements
Using an old transmitter I converted it to a dumb buddy box with an arduino programmed to provide ppm out. It works fine when connected to the Taranis but not an old Spektrum DX6i. I am thinking that maybe the ppm signal needs to be inverted relative to the way I have it set up for the Taranis, i.e....

Re: Open-Tx/Companion 2 for Linux
I am keen to try out 2.0.2 as soon as it is a published milestone. I am new to github but managed to compile OpenTX Companion and firmware 2.0.1 from a terminal as Ubuntu downloads are not yet available. My question relates to using github as I need some education; 1. instead of doing a "git cl...

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0
Most of the options are for 9x/9xr radios which have limited program memory and can not fit all options at once. Almost all features (voice etc) are always available for the Taranis. The easiest way o find out what makes sense for Taranis is to check the fw selection page in companion. You see all ...

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0
Also, I am wondering why the change to issuing redhat .rpm files instead of debian/ubuntu .deb 32 and 64 bit versions that were available previously?? AFAIK Ubuntu linux has a significant share of the linux market so they should be catering to that. The change of software distribution packages has ...

Re: OpenTX 2.0.0
Companion 2.0.1 compiled from git Lubuntu 14.04 In Model Setup page the list of potenziometers in "warning pot" is missing Appears only the combobox with "auto manual off" Confirm? Hi, I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit and am unable to convert the .rpm file to .deb using alien. Th...

Re: Sv: OpenTX 2.0.0
Another option is to install and use the tool called alien. Alien will allow you to install rpm packages on Ubuntu/Mint. You can even convert a rpm package to a deb package. I just did the second alternative to the Companion 2.0.0 package and installed the result on a Mint machine. Worked just fine...

Programming Throttle hold
I have successfully managed to get a 'Throttle Cut' facility linked to the momentary switch SH. I think I'm learning Open Tx fast and I'm only at it two days or so. Now I want to create a 'Throttle Hold' facility. Why? For safety when I'm in the pits area with my Nitro planes and I accidentally bump...

How do I delete a profile in Companion9x?
As the title says how do I delete a profile in Companion9x? In playing around with the software prior to receiving the radio I created a number of profiles. Now that I have the radio I would like to simplify my setup at least while I'm learning. Edit. I just found the answer here http://openrcforums...

Re: Ubuntu 13.04 Firmware download problem on Taranis
Cheers. That was it exactly. I just realised that the 0.7 version was put in /usr/local/bin/dfu-util and that needed to be configured under Burn -> Configure. One more query, see attached. Just wondering why the original firmware is much larger than the most recent version. Struck me as stran...

Ubuntu 13.04 Firmware download problem on Taranis
Hi, I just received my Taranis and am trying to read the original firmware from the Taranis to back it up before uploading the latest version. I am getting the attached dfu-util error. Synaptic package manager says I have version 0.5-1. I downloaded version 0.7 and did a manual ./configure and sudo ...

Re: Taranis updated voice pack
Just a little heads-up that I forgot to mention. Following the arrival of production radios I noticed the speaker was different than the one that was on our proto radios, and the sounds I had optimized for the proto sounded quite bad. So I have tested a few different filters, and made a new pack th...

Re: Model Names spoken Project
Cheers Scott. This is going to be very handy. Just one comment. The WOT4 is a very common model this side of the atlantic for 20 years or so. It is pronounced 'wot 4' which is slang for 'what 4'.
