Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Reinhard Unfortunately my version of excel does not support macros so its not as easy as it could be. I use the attached spreadsheet to do the conversion of the co=ordinates, add the telemetry data into sheet 1 and it calculates the co-ordinates into kml format in sheet 2 just make sure the gps data...

Hi Reinhard
Just for interest and show the accuracy of Gps location I've include a google earth trace of a typical flight.
The attachment is in kml format so just remove .txt extension and it can loaded directly into google earth

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Hi Michel I've finally got some good weather to test the latest release r204 with the X8R, There was no sign of previous error blips, even at the higher filtering I found it much more sensitive, running the -+0.2 dead band hardly gave any silent periods. The sound on climbing was very good, I think ...

Re: Vario upgrade problems
To my knowledge there is no easy way currently other than adding conversion into the tx program. Of coarse if you log the values you can read into an excel spreadsheet and add a conversion lto the values later. Note the primary use of vspd is to provide the vario tones. But I believe the next versio...

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Conditions were a little extreme today, wind was so strong it was difficult to hear vario beeps, but from what I could here they sounded ok matching with sink and lift. Your vario was running with the gps for comparison I've enclosed live data I've had too much time to clean up but I'm getting value...

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Michel
I've quickly loaded the goggle version and setup my parameters flashed the vario in 5 minutes
just off to slope so I've not tested well but sensitivity control looks good, alt 10sec looks the same.
I'll check further once Im back
cheers neil

Re: Vario upgrade problems
The FRSKY upgrade is well worth doing, it really improves this core performance on the vario.
The vario devices do not do any unit conversions it is done by the TXOpen running on the TX

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Hi Michel. I started testing your new version of Hub/SPort in SPort, very documentation in config. I'm hoping to do a live test this afternoon if the rain holds off. I'm using pin 2 as ppm and made only these changes to config #define PIN_PPM 2 #define PIN_Voltage1 8 all definitions //#define PIN_Cu...

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Hi Michel I didn't bother to reflash the vario, I'm confident it's the same as the code file label indicates same build day 24thjan2014 as the beta version. As it is much better than the other versions I guess they thought there's no downside releasing it, hopefully they will continue the developmen...

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Michel
I've noticed a few random pings running - + .2 dead band while static testing, but I did n't check it out on the slope, but will do next visit.
Interesting the altitude drift on my sensor is less using the original OxS software.
I'll do some more testing when I get a chance
Thanks neil

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
For interest here some live data x8r running on the SPort interface with OxS reporting on T1 / T2 Live comparison of HiP(beta) & OxS (r198) with sensitivity changes OxS RS input 100 weight into Pin2. Altitude of both sensors look virtually identical, PPM sensitivity looks to better at -1024. OxS...

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Michel & Mike,
Just back from work and the weather looks good.
I've just patch Mike's new version to run on T1 & T2 and hope to get some live comparisons of the new versions of oxs & Frsky HiP
Looks like you've been busy while I've been working !

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Thanks Michel
That was my problem, I'll do some static tests I did n't get it sorted before I was picked up, conditions were pretty useless anyway.
We have another massive storm due tomorrow and Saturday but hopefully I ll be back testing Sunday.
I ll let you know how I get on
cheers neil

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
I'm being pick up for slope in 5mins, but I managed to compile with sensitivity and Vspd it is just altitude that causes the compile error.
I think there may be an issue there, I look when I get a chance, still the vspd is the many interest

Re: OpenXSensor SPORT Interface
Hi Mike,
Michel has been doing quite a bit of work with the filtering.
I've sorted out my flying test beds so I can run in parallel either the Beta Frsky Hi Precision Sensor or GPS with the OxS to evaluate the performance.
I can test any improvement live weather permitting.
Thanks neil
