X10S issues
I get many warnings on my x10s, sdcard version incorrect, throttle warning, and it goes onto 'emergency warning' where the screen goes black with the switch going to red. One switch also triggers the warnings. I'm on 2.2.4. The sdcard has been changed, the formatting checked and the contents redownl...

I am changing over to Open TX from FrOS on my X10S. I have managed to change to a Taranis version and back to FROS but Companion won't pickup on the right software using my Mac. I downloaded Companion 2.2.4 and deleted previous versions. What does the file look like and where can I find it so I can ...

2.1.8 telemetry settings
I have just changed to 2.1.8 on my A Taranis and need the correct settings to go with FrSky vario and GPS, is there a page which I can glean the info from?
Also I keep getting the 'no sounds on SD card' screen despite having tried numerous ways. I have just put Beth on but get only zero m/s.
Ta.

Re: FRsky GPS sound
Thanks, the cockpit is a relatively large area for a 5m w/s but with four batteries and servo leads for 9 leads, I have made a small shelf higher up at the back and will try out again tomorrow.

Re: FRsky GPS sound
Hi, A tinny noise that drowns out the speech and vario sounds the higher the volume. At first I thought it was the earpiece I was using but not using it made no difference to the sound.

FRsky GPS sound
I am getting an audio noise when I use the GPS sensor, its so bad I can't use the earpiece, as I turn the volume up it gets worse making the sound unusable. I have used the lower rate vario without problems and a new earpiece to try and sort the problem but no luck. Any suggestions?

Re: setting servos up
Many thanks for this, its making sense now. I have always started with the higher figure and worked my way back to whats needed rather than the lower figure and worked upwards.

Re: setting servos up
They were in the model on the flaps and at first connected. Testing the movements sent them into stall and killed them.

Re: setting servos up
So, if I reduce my 'weight' to 4/5(80%) then I will be back to standard servo setting of 100%?
I note that I used two KTS DM125mg servos on another gliders flaps without problems.

Re: setting servos up
Frsky and Corona analogue and digital servos with x9 rx. The 125% figure would account for it, all the other servos I reduce the throw for use around the control surfaces.

setting servos up
Why does my Taranis overdrive servos to stalling point? I do not have any boxes ticked for extended trim just using 100_0_-100. This applies to analogue and digital servos using throttle source at 100 weight. Servos don't last long in this state! I am using 2940.

Re: tx signal problem
See pic, under the soldered connection you'll see the green strip which moved as I moved the hot glue patch to solder a new aerial.

Re: tx signal problem
If you look at the aerial soldered connection, there is a thin strip of green foil (about 1.5mm wide) underneath that terminates soon after. I'll see if I can get a close up.

tx signal problem
Whilst replacing the aerial I lifted off the hot glue on the board inside the tx and a thin piece of green foil lifted up, it folded back again and I soldered the aerial and closed up. The tx switches on ok but I do not have sufficient distance on the signal to fly, any suggestions?

Rob, Thats magic, works well, saved me a lot of anguish. I have used the default flight mode to control all ele changes in the flight modes. I shall have to remember that one.

I would like to program a elevator trim to override all the flight mode settings and just have one common elevator trim, does this sound doable? At present you need to trim each flight mode so the default may not suit the landing mode so you need to trim each one before landing. Often I fly in diffe...
