Re: Taranis+X8R failsafe problems
After testing what you proposed without any luck, I went on with some more testing and I finally understood that it should be a human error. It turned out that I wasn't setting failsafe as I should after all. I went again through the manual and I finally found out the problem. "Select the desir...

Re: Taranis+X8R failsafe problems
Excuse me, I don't know what I was thinking... All 4 servo connect to the fbl unit directly. Three servo leads connect X8R to beastX which is running latest version. Channel order is futaba like: AIL, ELE, THR, RUD, tail gain, collective. ESC is YEP, 60A, 6s, with active freewheel on and governor &q...

Re: Bugs in OpenTX
The github issue tracker takes care of it IMO. Won't be any clearer to do it in a forum thread. I guess you are right. You can delete this thread then. EDIT: Could you please tell me first if there is also a place that you have already made a wishlist with features for the next versions of OpenTX? ...

Taranis+X8R failsafe problems
Hello, I recently updated from 9XR to Taranis, and I running 2.0.8 as we speak. I tried to set up failsafe for my 450 but I'm pretty much disappointed and I'd like to have some help so that I can understand if it is my fault or software's. There are four options there, hold, custom, no pulses, recei...

Re: Bugs in OpenTX
I found this bug in 2.0.6. Trying to remove switch positions from preflight checks for my first model (named simulator), I started hitting "enter" on each letter "A B C D E F" and then I noticed that it skips letter "G" and goes directly to the "<]" symbol. Th...

Bugs in OpenTX
I've been looking for a thread that users could use to report bugs they find in the firmware but I haven't. So I thought I should start one. If one does exists already, I kindly request the admins to merge my next post with it and delete this thread. If not, I think it would be a good idea to make t...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
No problem Mike, I was just asking. Besides you have already given me a great help. mnementh To be honest I gave it a thought but I decided not to remove any screws with red resin. Theoretically I could solder a new switch on the board myself and get away with half a euro. But what if I don't make i...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
I checked it with another polymeter today and it seems to be defective. I have continuity between pins 3 & 4 in the OFF position. So today I ordered a switch board from T9hobbysport. Let's wait and see if our assumptions were right. Did you by any chance checked the connections?

Re: Taranis charge circuit
I numbered the pins in the connector(1 to 8) and I lettered the six pins in the board (A to F) so that we have a common reference system. I then checked for continuity to see which pin goes where. I only tried this with the switch in the OFF position. Pin 3 gave a positive continuity test with pins ...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
So, I flipped the board 180 degrees and normally now leftmost pin should be number 1. Just to be sure I also took a photo. In this particular case, voltage is 0.0 no matter where I put the power switch. I guess this isn't what we have been expecting for, is it? http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x2...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
I put the board in such a way so that I could read the processor's engraved letters. That means that the "X9D_MAIN REV1.1.1. 131024" was upside down. From that position I considered the first pin on my left to be #1. I put the black probe on pin #3 and checked all other 7 pins both positio...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
That is true, but this is going to take a really long time because it's not going to be replaced atm I send the parcel back but only after being received, checked and found to be factory defect. At least that's what I understand from the seller's response. Alternatively he proposed to keep it like t...

Re: Taranis charge circuit
I'm experiencing a similar problem. My Taranis won't power off. Although I didn't used any smart charger, and to be precise no charger at all since the battery was full when I received the box. I plugged in the battery and voila! I can read the main screen! Oh, wait a minute, why the power button is...

9XR how to change tension on RUD, ELE, AIL sticks???
I'm in desperate need of a way to convert the other 3 channels on the sticks (besides throttle) into adjustable tension ones. I'm willing to try anything. Gimbal modification, buying a set of appropriate springs or whatever someone has tried and works. But I don't want to experiment, I want already ...

Re: openTx Vs er9x, is any of the two better?
Yes this could be a possible solution but I actually intend this to become something like a mini guide for anyone new to the hobby, who'd like to obtain a small idea of what each firmware is capable of and what not, similarities and differences, pros and cons. That's why I expect from you, the older...

openTx Vs er9x, is any of the two better?
Hi! I have just received my 9XR and I'm thinking on upgrading to one of the two. Let the experts give us some pros and cons to see if we can prove one of the two being better than the other. Let me start with a simple question: which one is closer to the stock FW of 9XR?

Re: Look I got a 9xr from HK with a M128 MCU'
You can flash then the er9x128 or even opentx 128.. You can have the complete openTX inside the radio now.. and the double of the memory for models.. Could you explain this to me please? ATmega64 and ATmega128 have both 2kB of EEPROM, so why double the memory for models? Models' templates aren't st...
