If you try to charge thru the existing charge port, doesn't the diode drop interfere with proper Lithium charge voltages?

Thanks, I thought I had an original idea, now I see it is a stolen concept only. I'll have to see if this can be internal or if it has to be tubes along the sides.isvedic wrote:... something like this: http://www.rokemodell.de/x-int/gb/produ ... 1127gb.htm

I like the general layout. The neck strap will interfere with the visibility of the screen. Either move the screen up or add some side attachment points, is my thought.

Re: Ultrafire in the transmitter
I ordered my 9x from HobbyKing and 10 days ago and I'm anxiously waiting for its arrival. I noticed several youtube videos of people using 3s lipos in their 9x radios. From what I could tell that 8 alkaline cells would reach 12vdc respectively. From my experiences in electronics most things can tol...

Windows7 is difficult to use for this kind of application. The Smartieparts site and the wiki have instructions on how to overcome the problem. I have an older laptop I use for just that reason. You'll have the similar issue with flight simulator software.

Re: Best 9x battery? 2S Li-Ion 18650 cells
I have a multi-position mini-DIN now that has the three balance leads and + and - power leads. The adapter cable hooks right up to my charger. I'm wondering if I really need all five leads since I have two more TXs to modify eventually. If I need only the three lines it is much simpler to do.

I think you just need to recalibrate the voltage reading and the alarm setting for now since you have er9x.

You will get more informed technical responses soon, but in the past new users have had this experience simply because they ran the TX and/or RX batteries too low while tweaking and fiddling. Be sure you are well charged.

Why paint just the front panel, is it style or a technical reason?

A little Teflon plumber's dope on the threads would be a good idea, for those who are often into the case. It's not like vibration is going to be a problem, eh?

Here is a set of pics of the Pac-tec model PT-8 case with a FlySky for comparison. They were kind enough to sample me one for the freight cost. These would end up at about $25US, I think. They can mill the front panels if we settle on a design, or just go DIY. They can be found at http://www.pactece...
