Re: flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

My modules are updated and the radio is ready for flying, so don't look at it if it takes too much time. I'm not sure I will flash the internal module so often ! Thank you both for your help Edit : I found what happened : a second led and resistor was added to see the status led at the back of the r...

Re: flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

I can't see 1.1.6.21 beside the bind option...
If I flash the same file with the ISP the led stays solid (I can control a model) and I can see 1.1.6.21.

My external module is with board 2.3c, and the internal is with an arduino pro mini, does it make a difference ? Fuses are the same with D6 at H.

Re: flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

Now flashing works well with the external module on second and further attempts. :D

Still the same with the internal one, it seems it doesn't program, despite this message :

Re: flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

OK I was downloading the code from here : https://github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module where the "CHECK_FOR_BOOTLOADER" code is not included. As far as I understand I don't need the bind button. I'll try again this evening. Strange for the 43Ko file (size of .hex file in win...

Re: flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

I can't find "CHECK_FOR_BOOTLOADER", is it a line to comment/uncomment ? in _config.h ? ...and also I don't have any bind button connected. Do I need it for flashing in maintenance mode ? If yes when do I press it ? My hex files are 29 Ko and 43Ko with just the protocols needed, so they s...

flashing avr multi with 9xtreme maintenance mode

Hi guys, I'm trying to get back in the hobby after a period of inactivity, so a good start is to update everything ! 9xtreme now has the latest test version, the bootloader is updated. It has an external avr multi module, and an internal one : I compiled hex files and uploaded them with ISP -> every...

So is it safer to set the high fuse to C1 ? (eepe sets it to 81)

@Mike : I'm testing the internal MULTI with the 9Xtreme, my setup is : - internal MULTI with A7105 (Flysky modified) - external MULTI with NRF24L01 & CC2500 I noticed that when I switch from a model using external module to a model using internal module the LED of internal MULTI blinks slowly (n...

I tried it with a wltoys F929/939 board that needs autobind, it works great :)
Just a small display bug when going down to the line "External ON/OFF" : Type-Autobind-Power not displayed.

Thanks Mike,
I have a "multi" modified Flysky module inside my 9xtreme radio, it actually works with PPM.
I will "serial" test it as soon as a test version will be available.

Any news about supporting MULTI as internal module of the 9xtreme ?
With all the protocols It implies too much constraints perhaps ?

Yes and it's a good solution, but I didn't install the Taranis gimbals, I'm ok with the stock gimbals.
So I use the 5 pin JST plug that comes with the Taranis sliders !

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

The Taranis sliders are supplied with a 5 pin connector.
If you don't need all the connections you can use it, it even allows a connection for a 3 pos switch for exemple ;)

I didn't know we could already use it ! :)

Both use ersky9x but maybe there are hardware differences. I use COM2 for the telemetry on the 9Xtreme, which i...

Sounds like a problem with the Multi firmware. Mike. I believe that the last version of multi module firmware posted on Github is not ready for FrSky Hub protocol yet : with the 9Xtreme/Multi/COM2/R218j : TmOK is at 1 with the last multi module firmware (A1-A2-RSSI-TSSI are OK) If I flash the (olde...

Just checking (probably correct from before), you do have "FrSky COM Port" set to 2? Mike. Yes it's set correctly to 2. (I noticed that when UsrProto is changed, "FrSky COM Port" is forced back to 1) I also reflashed the 9Xtreme with dec.15th version to check, and the multi boar...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I just tested the 9Xtreme test version for the new multi protocol format.
I flashed the multi board with the file posted today on RCgroups.
Tested OK with a Flysky and a Frsky receiver (not 16 channels...)
But no telemetry with Frsky, not implemented yet ?
