Re: Arduino Due add on to 9X

Hello together, coming back to the discussion about the placement of the "Due" board in the 9X transmitter... I would strongly prefer to have it placed _directly_ onto the 9X main board, as JHSA already proposed. Not only because of less wiring compared to the solution in the transmitters ...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

Hello Kilrah, OK - I understand... So I will shift priorities, getting a Taranis board first if this is the platform needed... ;-) Nervertheless I don't give up the hope to get something "stripped down" running on the 9XR M128 boards which are so cheap at HK. They just fit fine into the ol...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview (want to do Jeti Dup

Hello Kilrah, whow - that concept is what I have been waiting for ;-) I run all my 9X and 9XRs with Jeti Duplex and started a implementation of the Duplex EX protocol also which runs basically already... So I would like to understand the new telemetry concept, perhaps I could support to implement Du...

Re: Merging/expanding OpenXVario branches

Hi Rob,

if you don't mind my german description, you can find some info here:

The pictures should tell the story - otherwise google translate may help ;-) ?

Re: Merging/expanding OpenXVario branches

Hello Rob, congratulation to the DC-16 transmitter - its REALLY a nice big block of HW (and SW), isn't it? ;-) And yes, the original Jeti openXvario branch works well. I designed a DIY PCB for it (all-in-one, much smaller than a Pro Mini but HW compatible), then built up 5 sensors of this type and u...

Re: Arduino FRSKY SPORT to JETI DUPLEX transcoder..

Hello Rob, I just read your post today, also the other one where you searched for the JETIBOX.INO code I used in the openXvario jeti branch... If this helps, here is my most compact "Jeti Duplex EX" sensor implementation based on arduino: Jeti Duplex EX Sensor (Arduino Demo code) The JETIB...

Re: openXvario development

Hello together, based on Rainers great source code of the openXvario I couldn't resist this morning and did a port to the Jeti Duplex EX protocol... At noon the display of my OpenX TG9x could show the old fashioned "Jetibox" text display with vario data (voltage, temperatur, height and cli...

Re: AW: Dual Sensor vario development

Elevator won't work because its also used to keep height when spinning upwards in good thermals... It would require a complete 3D computation to estimate the planes orientation - IMHO far too complex for a small vario... Perhaps a ACC Sensor could be used to roughly estimate the upward orientation o...

Re: Dual Sensor vario development

Hello vario fans, these "2-in-1" sensors look rather big to me - so I would spend some more seconds about the dual concept, based on the great work on the MS5611 vario rainer already did... Multiple sensors on the I2C bus are common practice (most MultiCopter IMUs work this way), so I thin...

Re: AW: openXvario development

Hello flaps30, at least the developers of the MS5611 sensor had your idea in mind when they provided the device with 2 selectable I2C adresses... So its easy to connect 2 of them to the same sensor bus in a vario module - pitot compensation could be done via Software then. As far as i know no lowcos...

Re: Jeti Duplex EX protocol

Hello 9x team, thanks for the quick reply... @Bertrand35: If it helps to motivate implementing the EX protocol - I have a Quanum 100 sensor with own firmware here, which speaks "Duplex EX" now. I could supply this one for testing purposes - what about a deal ? ;-) Regards, Henning P.S. See...

Jeti Duplex EX protocol

Hello together, with the current Open9x firmware rev (I managed to compile it myself in the meantime ;) ) the JETI bug is fixed and all my "Jeti"-TG9Y's work well again... Most of the Jeti users will already know: Jeti opened its documentation folders and published a description of their D...

Re: DSM besides Jeti

Hello "TheSpirit", because the DSM2 module requires serial 115kBaud input this is a much higher frequency compared to the Jeti PPM input signal and may be distorted by passive signal filtering on the Jeti TX board. You should not connect both inputs at the same time, even if the Jeti TX mo...

Re: Compilation error only for JETI option

Hallo bertrand35,

thanks for the quick fix!

When I request a "compile & download" of the JETI version via companion9x, it still offers V 1947 to me and crashes during compilation.
How can I urge it to use the > 1947 sources instead?

Kind regards,
Henning
