Compatible LCDs
Hi, I'm in the task of buliding a new groundstation for my AP multirotors and its core will be the SKY9x board. Since This will be a new build and no parts will be ripped from my TGY9x, I started to searching, amongst other things, for suitable LCDs. The first option, since I will be using the Sky9x...

Re: SKY9x Ver 3.0
@SkyNorth Thank you for your answer! @MikeB: Your words sound like music for me. If the code can be adapted to use this LCD it would be great for me and other people building custom TXs or groundstations since this will open up the LCD options and it's very easy to obtain and cheap. Unfortunately, t...

Re: SKY9x Ver 3.0
No , ones Ive seen are same size or smaller . You could use the expansion header , it gives you access to the pins you need to try a different display. The optrex display from Digikey 73-1352-ND was the only one that would plug in. -Brent I've one 128X64 LCD with backlight from sparkfun arround her...

Re: SKY9x Ver 3.0
I've purchased one of the last Sky9x boards available :D. My intention is to integrate it as the RC core on a self-made ground station for controlling my AP multis. Since I want to do all the internal cabling as professional as possible, could someone list the references of all the connectors to pur...

Re: OpenXVario Sonar support
ultrasonic.jpg How about this, it's cheap but maybe not not accurate enough? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__31136__Ultrasonic_Module_HC_SR04_Arduino.html I've one of those too, the problem is that for an accurate height reading the projection cone has to be as narrow as possible to read...

OpenXVario Sonar support
Today I waked up thinking about the possibility of adding a sonar (MB1240 XL-MaxSonar EZ4 for example as I have one :) ) to the oXv to get precise readings when flying low. This sensor has 3 outputs: Analog Voltage, Serial, Pulse Width so can be integrated easily and it's widely used on several flig...

16Channels on 9X & OpenTX
Hi, Today I will show you my 16Channel mod. It's very Easy, you only need two TX modules, OpentTX and a little DIY... In my case I had installed the Frsky DHT module inside the 9x and a DJT on the module slot. To feed the correct PPM stream to each module I've cutted the PPM signal trace close to th...

Re: Convert Receiver channels to PPM with arduino
I know its solved now but want to mention the 8 Channel PPM Encoder Version 2 from 3d Robotics. Fom 3Dr shop: The PPM Encoder v2.0 plugs into the PWM servo output ports of any R/C receiver and encodes them into a PPM pulse suitable for many autopilots (e.g. PX4FMU). Modifications to the R/C receiver...

Re: Replacing P1 & P2 with a PS2 style joystick (FlySky 9X)
Didn't know the sugru, seems very useful for some kind of works, thank you! However, I had FIMO at home and in my case it done the trick quite well. Also since it's worked very like the sugru, and hard like plastic when cured in the oven, it wasn't a bad option. Note it isn't fixed to the case but h...

Replacing P1 & P2 with a PS2 style joystick (FlySky 9X)
Hi, I want to show you my last mod, I've done it in order to control the Zenmuse on my S800 in a one pilot setup but will be useful for all gimbals. First you will need a PS2 style joystick, I've used this Thumb Joystick Module for Arduino (Works with Official Arduino Boards) from DX.com and removed...

Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option
Hi, Finally with help from jpparisy I got one PCB for the encoder and have done the wheel encoder mod yesterday. It was straightforward to connect it to the TeZ board and after updating the Tez board to r75 and downloading the correct OpenTX firmware to the 9X with Companion 9X. The mod works perfec...

Hi does anyone sell one piece of iksbob's rotary encoder PCB? I've ordered (and paid) 3 from Hippo's webstore: http://www.foamfly.com february the 12th but he never sent them to me. He only answered my 1st PM redirecting me to his store but since then, he answered no PMs, webforms filled on his webs...

Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option
Today I ordered two 2,4Ghz antennas from farnell and since to pay with credit card there is a minimum order. I remembered the encoder mod and ordered the TSW B-3N-CB222 LFS 7 function encoder. I have the telemetrez board and it allows to install an encoder easy. Does Hippo still selling the PCB? I'm...
