Re: D4R-II binds, V8R4-II doesn't! [SOLVED]

To overcome the problem above I used Companion to re-flash the firmware.
Having read on another another thread a suggestion that the Tx needed to be at least two metres away I moved the Tx to another room and both Rx bound faultlessly.
Thanks for your help.

Re: D4R-II binds, V8R4-II doesn't!

The Rx antenna is not the problem. I have since bound the V8R4-II to a non EU D9X and flown the model. It was fine and had full range. Today I tried flashing the opentc_X9DP_mode2_nonEU.bin file from X9DP_2.1.6.rar using the bootloader method and the radio initially reported that the firmware was in...

Re: D4R-II binds, V8R4-II doesn't!

The Rx just does not bind. The only time I see a green led is when I try binding it without pins 1+2 connected, and I get a single green led flash when I release the FS switch. It's really frustrating. Thanks for the idea.

Re: D4R-II binds, V8R4-II doesn't!

That's what surprises me. I use D8 and still the V8R4-II does not bind.
Anybody have any theories on this "impossibility" ? I have to be doing something wrong! Is it possible the internal RF module I installed is incorrect? Is there a checksum and a way to check it?

Help!

Can also add that the firmware is X9DP_2.1.6

D4R-II binds, V8R4-II doesn't!

I have an X9D and recently bought an X9D+ which was an EU LBT version. As I already have a fair few receivers I decided to update openTx and install the non-EU firmware. I have installed openTx 2.2.1 and flashed the firmware to opentx_X9DP_mode2_nonEU.bin (file date Wed 30 Dec 2015). However, as the...

Help on the correct upgrade path for Taranis 9x please

I managed to get an early Taranis 9x but immediately suffered some family crisis problems so I am only just getting to grips using it. The TX reports it is running opentx-x9d-1.1.02 Before I jump feet first into the mire can I check with you more experienced guys the correct upgrade route for my tra...

Re: First post from a 9Xnewbie to this forum - startup quest

Getting back to the point of the original post - what compatible receivers are there? compatible rx depends on what tx module you use. rx is matched with tx module. if you use T9X stock module (Turnigy or Flysky), the Turnigy, Flysky 8ch rx all work. But for 6ch rx, Flysky CT6B and HK TR6A also wor...

I could draft something, perhaps when I get a bit further down the line. No problem with that.

Re: First post from a 9Xnewbie to this forum - startup quest

Wow, I am really appreciative of the time and effort you guys are putting into this thread. I am at last getting the picture, especially thanks to your last post kaos, where I started to understand the basics of what is available and why I need (want?) it. I have also read more of the wiki. A couple...

This puzzles me - if I buy a 9x Tx why do I need to replace a board? Could you explain this please? Thanks. Dick

Thank you guys. I did indeed start reading that page, navigated away from it, then again, and again... and never got back there. I will continue this evening.

First post from a 9Xnewbie to this forum - startup questions

Hi. My name is Dick and this is my first post to this forum. I have just discovered the 9x transmitters and they seem to be what I am looking for. I have been flying models since I was 12, and have a hanger full of models and 35 MHz gear. Recently I have been considering going completely 2.4 GHz, bu...
