Q Bot micro quad
Template that works, and has a couple 'real RC heli' features: Set up with sticky throttle hold and 'idle up mode' switch, like for a CP heli. This is so that you don't chop collective/throttle when crashing to kill the props. Instead pull THR. Otherwise, flying it only a couple times may break your...

Re: Too Many Mixes and Switches? Model size limit?
Awesome! thanks Gohstfor taking your time to school a newbie. It does work exactly the same, except it's small enough to work. Count the ways to simplify a model to save space: (Remember the Count on Sesame Street...?) Don't define a linear curves, it's not required, use just a channel directly. Tak...

Too Many Mixes and Switches? Model size limit?
I'm loving it! And I've been working on a crazy idea: make a relatively stable v911 fixed pitch heli fly more like a collective pitch, while I wait for nano cpx motors to arrive. For the Ail and Ele channels, there is a normal type of mix with a pot for gain, and a pair of ratelimited up and down ch...

That IS it, SWC true triggers range check mode for the DSM/DSM2 protocol, exactly! Thanks

Re: Nano CP X ER9X template
Doug, were you able to get the beeping to stop? I still have not and am not sure where it's coming from. I suppose I could make a new template from scratch, and see what makes it beep. Or copy to a new model, then delete half of the settings, and find what makes it go away.

Re: Blade Nano CPX template
I changed the counter so it uses SW2, this make the counter only count down when throttle is active and main motor is running, better for timing the battery use. The Beeping, ohhh nooo, where is it coming from!! It does not have to do with the ID0,1,2 switch or idle up. The throttle was set to beep ...

Re: Blade Nano CPX template
Thanks!! This did work for me, with HP6DSM module installed internally. Changed protocol to DSM, DSM2only. No other changes yet. The original template file had protocol set to PPM which is probably right for a DSM plug-in module to back of radio. I do need to figure out what the beeping is. It may b...

Re: Dsm range test mode in er9x?
yes thanks. Was looking in code to see how to turn on DSM range test, Couldn't figure out what this means (in pulses.cpp) if ((!(dsmdat0copy&BindBit))&&getSwitch(MAX_DRSWITCH-1,0,0)) dsmdat0copy|=RangeCheckBit; //range check function Actually, still don't get it... hmmm I'll see how to s...

Re: The end of the DSM mod...
hehe heh. why am I reading this thread, what room am I in? lol... I could be in the category that it helps, and I'm only halfway between 23 and an old git. On my just set up HP6DSM internal to 9x, I think model match is what made me lose bind when I had the trainer switch pulled accidentally on star...

Re: Swapping trainer and throttle hold switches
I think i've decided, write that down... Just going to move the wire. for the TRN and THR switches, so the TRN I want on the left, is still hooked to the original input port. Only the one orange wire to each switch needs to move, the other is ground. Really pretty easy. Only the label on the outside...

Re: Swapping trainer and throttle hold switches
adds a minor level of confusion keeping TNR and THR sorted out. I have enough problems without making more...which is why I lengthen the wire. I'm agreeing.... Found easy enough how to make the TRN switch accomplish throttle hold in the mix for heli. However, already once I turned on the radio with...

Re: DO's and DONT's for the newcomer to 9x
To prevent reverse battery pack: Convert the original plug to use only the outer two pins, in the configuration of a two cell lipo battery balance lead. So any two cell lipo pack will work without modification, and at least for all the packs I have the balance leads are standard and polarized. Look ...

Re: Swapping trainer and throttle hold switches
I'm reading in the wiki and looking around. Seems there probably is a way to change the functions in er9x. But... if TRN switch (the physical one) is always on the right, maybe I'll leave so I don't get confused later. You know like the + - buttons are likely swapped physically, but maybe not for al...

Swapping trainer and throttle hold switches
This may be an unusual issue, caused by my own fumbling, but still curious. I think my 9x was originally a mode 1 setup, and I bought cause mode 2 was out of stock at the time. I changed the sticks, and selected mode 2 in er9x, and that worked good. I also unsoldered and swapped the trainer and thro...

Re: NEED: Stock Turnigy 9x module
I have one that just removed. The antenna was unsoldered carefully with a hot air rework gun, so it should be easy to reattach depending on how want to do the antenna. The case has a little melt hold from when unsoldering the antenna, only see when module is out of transmitter. Also have two receive...

Ha!! It works! Have an HP6DSM module hooked up and now working! with er9x r780, DSM, DSM2only settings, bench 3.3v supply until a ubec arrives. wired this way: http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/1/4/1/9/9/a4447260-151-9x%20dsm2%20level%20shifter.jpg with a schotty diode and 4.7k res...
