@gohsthb - thanks for that, you're right ! For some reason when the program is started the name entry box is already populated with a number of spaces (usually 2 or 3 but sometimes more ). I hadn't realised this and always started with the cursor right at the start. So that solves that one - I hope ...

I have the same problem with my newly installed Sky9x board running ersky9x-r143. Should I wait for a later revision or am I missing something ?

Mike, you are right - resistors for example are much cheaper. Rapid don't have the full range of components needed though as far as I can see. Looks like the costs for e.g. 5 sets would fall to around £12 and could/should be lower for higher quantities.

As suggested by GTiDon I was considering sourcing components from RS and supplying sets of parts at cost. To buy a complete set of components for HaGeHa's schematic would be around £70 given minimum order quantities on most items - for making up 5 sets this cost drops to around £20 and falls to £14 ...

@jhsa - you're right, the latest version of Audacity doesn't support 8-bit. You need Version 1.2.6 - download from http://audacity.softwaredl.net/
