Re: Multicopters ... motors/payload/stuff

That sounds great and just about where I would like to go with this one.

Which motors you using that can handle 4S at that size, or are you planning on governing it?
Also, what size pack are you using to give you 10-15mins?

PLEASE keep me posted on your progress.

Multicopters ... motors/payload/stuff

Guys I am in love with the whole concept of quadcopters and FPV. I am dreaming of a building something that would initially give me the ability to take some good video and pictures. My approach has never been to buy a kit and build it. Rather, I am trying to get a feel for what size motors and props...

Must have items on your electronic workbench

Finally I am starting to dust off all my old circuits and small projects and thinking of getting back into the hobby. I have been doing what I can with my power supplies, multimeters and general mish-mash of hand tools at hand. I would very much like to learn more about general signal analysis (non-...

Thanks for pointing that out. I will try and integrate it into the wiki on some level.

Re: Cooking up a major change

While we are thinking about making a clean break, can I suggest something to accompany V2? As a noob the forum is pretty much an overload of info. I am helping to get the wiki populated, and from a late joiner's perspective, I cant seem to get a grasp on - what the latest version of the firmware con...

Re: Wiki...

Quote of post directly above removed by your friendly MOD Pat I found it useful to just create a link as you see fit and just get all the content in there. Sometimes you don't really know where it belongs until you've done the whole section (and you get ideas about additional content along the way)...

Re: SmartieParts Programmer

OK. So this might be a really silly question, so I apologise in advance. I've just purchased the Smartieparts programmer and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I take it that once I have installed it I need to download and install er9X. Is that correct? If so, I can't find any instruction on ...

Re: FRSky Telemetry out of range?

The TX does already receive a signal back from the RX to tell it when range is low - this can trigger an audible alert to warn you of that situation. Not sure if that is what you are trying to establish? Exactly what I am after. Good to know it is in place. Have you though of including it in your s...

Re: FRSky Telemetry out of range?

are you relying on telemetry on the tx for you to fly your plane back? I use copilot and the home feature failsafe , so if at any time my rx has a signal loss , copilot kicks in with the various other dohickies and starts flying the plane home. When the signal returns i can regain control, otherwis...

Re: FRSky Telemetry out of range?

It is flat enough out here to set some new range records, for sure. However the reason I am following this train of thought is to figure out what failsafes there are on the RX and maybe to introduce a feedback loop which, if broken, can indicate "telemetry out of range" in stead of running...

FRSky Telemetry out of range?

Hi guys Having a fully modded TX and RX on the way to my doorstep (thanks to Rob), I've been reading up on as much as I can get my hands on. This might sound a complete weird one, but has anyone tested or compared the transmission range from the RX units (telemetry range) and how does it compare to ...
