Re: SKY9x Ver 3.0
who said it is easy. ;) yep, even the current ersky9x board has one top right hole is off, but it is easy fix , file a little to one side , it slips in. I was not sure if that was the board or me... I ended up putting it in at a bit of an angle... That's one of the hardest holes to see with the wir...

I think from memory the ribbon makes contact with the underside top of the connector which may be a bit awkward to fix with hot glue....

Not really, it's just brighter, better contrast, looks better, reads easier, other than that, you don't really need to change it out. it's all personal preference. That's good to know... If it's down to personnel preference I'd prefer to keep the 30 bucks in MY pocket.... Although I did break the c...

While I had mine open one time I just disconnected the wires from the board and hard wired a JST pigtail there. I know you can sometimes get JST connectors to plug in the wrong way round but at least I can see the wires now and check the red is going to red...

I have that as well some times.. I tap the stick and it usually works even though the stick does not seem to move... Must be right on the optimum setting..

Tx battery is already hard coded, plays voice message 46 when it is low, and I know it works because it happened to me when flying.
Yes, I can verify this as well..Thanks, saved an embarrassing moment..

Re: Broken menu button. Need to replace.
I found a way to remove multi pin components... You use a solder pot and fill it to the top.. Then hold the board on top of it and when the solder melts lift the component with tweezers... Probably ruins the board but is a good way to harvest parts...

Been messing with the SD card trying to get voice on my SKY board... All I had to do was make a sub directory called 'voice'. Switched on and it talked to me right away... Left it there while I read some more and sh#t myself when the inactivity alarm went off... [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.c...

I had one lined up wrong and tightened the board onto it and stuffed it... I have a spare radio for bits and pieces and tried to change it... Could not get it off the old board... How do you de-solder four pins at the same time..? Anyway I took it apart on the board and replaced the inners with the ...
