Re: Looking for help with fixing/improving Trainer/Student behaviour.
Jthornton: take a look at https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=33036059&postcount=9 It basically bypasses the built-in "trainer sticks" functionality and chooses either the student or the instructor signal in the "inputs" page. (Note that they're using RETA channel ...

relationship between .otx radio file and .bin files in MODELS folder?
Can someone explain or point me at documentation describing the relationship between the overall .otx file that I save from Companion (2.3) and the .bin files that live in the MODELS subdirectory on the sd card? This is for the TX16s. I copied some model files over from another radio, but the models...

I was able to use Companion 2.2 to convert them, thanks! Now I just have to adjust all the switches appropriately.

Possible to save models from OpenTX 2.1 on a TG9x for use with OpenTX 2.3 on a TX16s?
I have a Turnigy 9x running OpenTX 2.1, and it seems to be saving all the models together in a *.eepe file. Is it possible to somehow convert these models to a format that would be compatible with OpenTX 2.3 running on my shiny new TX16s? In Companion 2.1 it looks like I can save the model file as ....

maybe a weird question...global countdown timer for tracking TX battery life?
From what I understand, LiFePO4 gives a fairly constant voltage through most of it's usable capacity, making a low-voltage cutoff a bit more problematic. Since the power draw of a TX is fairly constant, I'm wondering whether there's a way to set up a global timer that can be programmed with the expe...

Re: Radioking TX18S Radio
Yes that's the rub ... where erskyTX is nice and straightforward - openTX splits Inputs and mixes. This split causes interactions that make it hard to find where an error lies. As a computer programmer, what basic stuff I've seen of OpenTx makes sense to me. You have the inputs (the various switche...

Question about endpoints in openTx
Hi, I'm coming from a Turnigy9x running the stock firmware, and I realized that they treat endpoints separately for each *input* so that if you mix two sticks together (when doing flaperons for example) you can exceed the configured endpoints and over-drive the servo. From the openTx manual it appea...
