Same here in price, no issues..... I'll be looking for 2 boards as soon as they are available. :)

Re: Advice on upgrading to 128 chip

My chips Have the three dots, thanks for the heads up on pin 1. Mine just say 128A, no U at the end. Are they ok to use or do I need to find different ones?

Re: Advice on upgrading to 128 chip

OK,thanks.... cool... I've had the processors for a while and just can't pick a good time to potentially destroy my radio. :o One other thing, how do I know I have the right processor? The ones I have are 128A or 128 AU.... or something like that with some more numbers on there as well. I looked at ...

Re: Advice on upgrading to 128 chip

I'm getting ready to do this mod also. I could use clarification on bringing the chip to life for the first time. .... Is the procedure: In epee, choose 128 chip, choose reset fuses to default, enter -B 100 in extra arguments, and flash desired firmware in 1 step? - or do you need to reset fuses fir...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

Sorry for skewing the discussion to an off topic direction, this is supposed to be about TelemetrEZ, not about guessing what the next radio to be released might cost or include etc.... Back on topic...... Geeze Steven, you work fast! I kind of like the "bridgification device thingy" (I thi...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

True the 9x is beginning to show its age, but on the flip side, the latest and greatest competitor on its class (9xr) has largely proven to be not much better, more expensive, and brings on a whole new batch of problems with it. I would sort of guess the new flysky would be sort of similar to that a...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

Holy cow Steven, great write up! Once again it would be simple (!? :o ) enough to to follow your excellent procedure, but for neatness , if a daughter board became available in that price range I would jump on it! Thanks again!

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

Nice work Steven! Way to go. So....... how difficult is the conversion from v2.3? I am a repeat SP customer ( 2 SP programmers and a TelemetrEZ), but I didn't buy your products to avoid soldering. I was more interested in a clean installation, an easily undoable installation, keeping things a little...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

Just a bit off topic, but.... I've read numerous complaints about the lack of internal space. Is the case smaller than the 9x, or does the 9xr just have more inside it to take up space? Seems from what I have seen that the general consensus is that people ( at least the ones who frequent the forums)...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

I would assume it would take quite a while for there to be enough 9xrs out there before there is enough demand. There are how many 9xs out there and there is finally enough demand to make it financially responsible to take on the required investment. Steven has been great about offering products tha...

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

I'm the version of companion9x I received Saturday to do some testing with it automatically unchecked frsky when I checked TelemetrEZ . Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option

That's a pretty good plan to have it all come out together. It is sometimes a pain to keep from moving the backlight while dropping on the main board. I could probably double stick tape them to my board too.... I wouldn't have to unplug the LCD every time then, I'm just waiting to break that dainty ...

Re: Sky9x Rotary Encoder Option

I went the Kaos method and used wires to connect. It seemed more sensible from a maintenance / future mod perspective. I think it allows more flexibility in the future if you aren't locked in to having the encoder soldered to your main board. I used 2 plugs to connect it, one 4 wire plug to go from ...

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder

I think you had it right the first time (the actual photo with "wires" drawn in). The order of the wire from let to right on the 4 pads on the pcb should go to H - G - I - 0v respectively. I think you have H & G inverted on your last post. (No big deal if you hooked them up that way, t...

Re: rotary encoder with Open9X?

I didn't realize the encoder was already supported by the firmware, that's great!! Does that mean it will work if the encoder is hooked up through TelemetrEZ, or does that require additional firmware support? If so does the firmware support it already or would that still need to be added?

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder

LTMNO, that is how I have mine hooked up and it all seems to work good. Sorry it took so long to respond, I had to pull my radio apart to see what I put where after I got the firmware flashed. Time to throw it back together ....... its well past my bedtime ;)

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder

I just finished the physical part of this mod yesterday and haven't had a chance to flash the new firmware yet. Unless someone beats me to it, I can tell you where I put my wires once I get it flashed, just need to verify everything works before I go running off at the mouth. ;)

I think they were 3k9, I had asked at one point Mike had verified which one it was, its in another thread somewhere, but I don't have time to find it just this second. I will hint it down later unless someone beats me to it :)

Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

I used Stevens instructions and flashing program (can be found on page 21 of this thread) and it was super easy. Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ

On mine the Thr and Ail switches wouldn't work at all. They never would become functional again, regardless of how long I left the radio on. The firmware update fixed it though. I have a similar set of mods done to mine, without the haptic or sound. If only one of your switches doesn't work, like St...

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder

Does anyone know if the 3 surface mount resistors can be eliminated if hooking up through the TelemetrEZ board? I thought I read somewhere that they weren't necessary in that case, but I can't find where it was so I could verify / get details.

Re: rotary encoder with Open9X?

Then when the firmware gets updated for support the rotary part and center button will funct...

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder

Hey guys, I'm just starting to scratch/h the surface on this mod, and unfortunately am more or less electronics illiterate :( Could someone let me know what those 3 surface mount resistors were? Are that the 3k9? Thanks.
