Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
OK everything is installed and the sound board powers up. I removed OEM beeper and transistor. I get a beep when powering up from ArduVoice. I enabled M'sound serial in hardware mode and changed mode sound to Megasound. How do I setup what file plays for whatever switch is toggled ? Or is that the ...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
The only thing I haven’t got working yet is the volume control from one of the pots....must be doing something wrong! Go to "Model Setup / General", Scroll down to "Volume Control" and select the Pot you want to control the volume with. @Mike I have just tested this, the volume ...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi, after your recent PMs, thought I’d have a look in here as it’s been some time.... Regarding your questions:- 1. I didn’t remove the resistors on mine and all seems to work ok. 2. I did remove the original beeper and connected to the new board instead. Beeps work well. The only thing I haven’t go...

I've not tried that one yet....I've been using Acepela / Audacity and also recording some others with my own voice to make "amusing" ones

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Yes, that works !!! I'd spent ages trying to figure it out but hadn't just grasped the concept. I've got a Taranis (OpenTx), a 9x with 9xtreme (Ersky9x) and this 9X (Er9x) with the voice mod and each requires something a bit different....I was getting a bit confused but its all sorted now. I'd be ou...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hello, another question please....is it supposed to be possible to upload new voice files to the SD card, using the serial adapter ? If it is, I haven't figured out how to yet, I have to take the SD card out of the radio each time. I can access the "models" on the SD card using Epee, but t...

Re: Strange reversal of version number ?
I read on the er9x development thread that there was an error with the SVN: er9x-r821 label and it showed r820 by mistake. My 9X shows this on the version page:- VERS: v1.748-Mike DATE: 30.11.2016 TIME: 13:14:21 SVN: er9x-r820 MOD: FRSKY 128 The date apparently confirms that it is actually r821 Chee...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
I realised that at the time I was trying to setup the audio alarms, I had "beeper" set to "Quiet".....that's where I was going wrong.....once I set it differently, everything then worked ok. Another case of "Operator error" 🙄 Thanks to both of you for helping sort out h...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Yes, I hear the beeps ok. I isolated the pcb track to the original beeper and connected it to the new voice board. This has reminded me that I'm not certain I've got the correct value of capacitor C7....I slipped up with the order for components and had to source this particular capacitor from old s...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi, I have noticed that when trying to program a "Voice" alarm, using an "Audio" filetype, none of the files....Ring, Cheep, SciFi etc.... work at all. All actual voice files from the SD card work ok, just not these sound effects which I have understand are built in to ER9X. Shou...

Hi I can't see the pictures either..... If it helps, I have just made a voice module as shown in this thread, but I did not remove the resistors....it works ok. I'm not certain, but think once the trim wires are moved to the voice module, the resistors are then open circuit, but I'm open to correcti...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Right, success with reading & writing to the sd card....worked ok when I tried a different FTDI adapter. I'm very happy now that everything works ok, the only minor problem is that the radio doesn't always play the "Welcome message" when switching on. I haven't tried it enough to see i...

Hi, after a bit of delay from the ebay seller, I finally received my micro sd card board today and once installed, the first two cards I tried didn't work in it at all but the third one did and I was able to backup models to the card etc. and get voice alarms working ! I had to transfer the voice fi...

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
I was a bit confused at first over the programming, regarding the references to loading bootloader and firmware but having just read it all again, I take it that it is meaning just to the voice module....not to the radio itself ? If I'm wrong please let me know.
Thanks

Re: ArduVoice-9x Voice Module with Arduino for the 9x Radio
Hi, I have read through this thread a few times now and have a couple of questions for Joao or Mike if that's ok.... I have a 9X with the 128 processor, Smartieparts 2.4 board and Telemetrez board, running latest ER9x. I'm interested in making the stripboard version of the voice board but am not sur...

Re: Turnigy9x 128, OpenTX, Telemetrez and Switch Error
Hi Mike, thanks for the reply....I use an XJT module in this particular 9X and it was when I read something you had posted elsewhere about the baud rate, revision r90 etc. that the penny dropped for getting OpenTX to work without the switch error. I'm really only experimenting (and learning), as I'd...

Re: Turnigy9x 128, OpenTX, Telemetrez and Switch Error
I was pretty sure it would be a firmware problem....tried reverting the Telemetrez firmware to r86 and all is well.
The smartieparts 2.4 board has made all this so easy.

Turnigy9x 128, OpenTX, Telemetrez and Switch Error
Hi, I have been searching various forums and threads for help with a problem for some time, but without success.....hoping someone here may be able to help? Re: Can't trust my radio :-(
Hi, I have also witnessed the display going completely blank a few times.....the scenario was that I was part way through developing a mixer for crow braking on an electric powered glider, but was using the P1 pot to control the braking at the time, not the throttle stick, which was to come next. @gb21914 and @MikeB... How about gb21914 sends Mike his 9Xtreme, I send a new 9Xtreme to gb21914? There's shipping costs and time involved so it isn't necessarily a no-brainer... but probably easier to diagnose than doing it remotely like this? That's a great idea.....as I've said, I'm totally happ...
