Re: Is it possible to use OpenXvario with only one function ?
Well, I finally made it with my original files. In fact, 75% of the GPS modules I got from A...zon were dead on arrival or died after a few minutes. All of the Aliexpress ones turned out to be good. Now, in all cases one has to keep the bit about measuring Amps in the Advanced file. The rest can be ...

Is it possible to use OpenXvario with only one function ?
Good evening I have a few OpenXvarios working fine, with GPS+ VFAS + Altimeter. Now I wish to make one using only the GPS function. I never could make it work. Now, am I wrong ? it seems all functions are somewhere linked ... Only GPS: without the GPS function, the vario works fine. I did adjust the...

Good morning I myself had some trouble with some sensors purchased from some Ali.... retailer, or Amaz... Please do not forget that there are lots of fakes there ! If you have a GPS sensor taking ages to catch the satellites or not working: question yourself: is it a fake ? Once you have a genuine o...

OpenXsensor and Frsky SxR Receivers
Hi all, I am trying to set up some OpenXsensors on a S8R from Frsky. This Rx has in built stabilization possibilty with stab gain adjustment. It seems there is some kind of incompatibility: * it seems to corrupt the configuration foftware: this latter works no more * it seems to also modify some fea...

Re: Upload from Github: Python trouble
The 'files ' are Config.basic and config.advanced.
The 'reader' is the application which is used to just read the content of the files and not work on them. It is here "Text" and not 'Arduino'. When I will work on it then I will open them in Arduino of course.

Re: Upload from Github: Python trouble
Good morning, I started again the configurator and this time it seems it works ok. In between I just restarted the pc. Perhaps it would be useful to mention that you can read the files only one by one : I had to close the reader to get to see the next file after clicking on 'generate ...'. However, ...

I got rid of the "divide by zero" messages by erasing the wrong resistor dividers unused.

Good morning My problem is now solved. It was due to the fact that I did not follow all of the rules which are listed here under, I learned the hard way ! * Each version of OpenTX has ITS version of Companion OpenTX should be installed only with its own Companion * My TX is a X9D+2019 which has a di...

Once more : X9D+ flashing problem
Good day to all. I have a X7 which I could update to 2.2 without any trouble and know a tiny bit of the OpenTX system. Now I just received a brand new X9DPlus which was in english. I wanted to change its FW to french language. With a Linux Mint 17.3, I used a Companion 2.2 (the maximum it accepts) t...

Re: A few issues
Good afternoon Michel Well, four out of five devices work fine as expected. Only one still gives VFAS= 0V and no cels value. I used for it the same config files. I suspect something wrong in the A/D converter in the hardware (chinese clone). For a fast glider it is not important to have the VFAS or ...

Michel, Thanks for the info, I now get 'Cels' = 'VFAS' = VCC. Is it the proper value for 'Cels' ? How do I trim each cell separately ? How do I use the 'Test' command, it is not in the text that it can be used for Cels values... Last, I noticed that the GPS stays in Knots per hour, inspite of tickin...

Re: A few issues
Better ! On 3 of the sets with MS5611 Cels is the sum of the individual Voltages and VFAS is the 1/3 of it. Fine. On one set with BMP 280 Cels is OK but there is no mention of VFAS. BMP seems to drift less than MS5611. The same if I reset the Telemetry on the TX, the same if I cancel all sensors and...
