Futaba xjt Module
I have a FRSKY X12S radio and was fortunate to source the very rare Hobbico JM912FASST module that was originally made by Futaba to convert JR radio's to make it possible to use Futaba FASST Receivers. Futaba stopped producing these modules as they quickly realised that it was reducing the sales of ...

Horus X12S Firmware update
I have been using open TX since I bought this radio but decided to reinstall fros firmware so I could bring the FM module software up to date. I reinstalled fros FW 1.2.25 which was one of the first releases as I seemed to remember that firmware updates were best done incrementally because of change...

Upgraded to 2.3.14
After upgrading to 2.3. 14 on my X12S I have noticed that the range test circle no longer has a red spot in it when the check is enabled and there is no bleep warning sound. current sd card upgrade is present. Also on just one of my 15 or so models the front screen is showing a flashing white disc i...
Re: opentx
Problem sorted. Reinstalled fresh copy of win 10 pro. Must have been some malware in previous version. Thanks all for help
Re: opentx
Yes still the same result. Trims to centre power on . usb connect. still companion says it cannot access the SD card. That has been the same all the way along.
Re: opentx
Got rid of the zadig driver. When I connect the transmitter now (power off) device shows up in device manager as STM device in DFU mode Driver Providor ST Microelectronics date 5/ 7 /2012 in events tab 'Device USB\VID_0483&PID_DF11\367B34723135 requires further installation'. I presume this is w...
Re: opentx
Yes Jim I am ticking the box to uninstall the driver. I can only assume that windows has deposited the zadig driver into it driver data base. I will have to take my computer to work and use the computer there where zadig has not been installed. I will try to also find the windows 10 driver 'chest' t...
Re: opentx
Already done that but when I reconnect the radio to windows 10 it reinstalls that driver by default. I take the option to look for an updated driver on the windows update and it says that I already have the best driver for the device. I have tried this now on three separate computers all with the sa...
Re: opentx
Thanks Jim and Kilrah for you help. Uninstalled all drivers that appeared in device manager for the x12s when it was connected in boot manager mode as suuggested. Rebooted computer. Entered into bootmanager mode, connected to computer . device manager then reported under libusbK USB Devices FRSKY Ho...
Re: opentx
The radio is a frsky x12s. I am under the impression that opentx is confined to the sd card. I cannot understand why companion can update the sd card to the latest openntx firmware but will not allow companion to read models. Also the update seemed to remove all the model memories so that when the t...

I decided to up date the firmware with companion to the latest build but for some reason there was no problem updating the sd card to the latest firmware vers...

Thanks Mike B, Done as you said connected to win 10 computer usual usb connection sound. Screen on X12s says USB connected. X12s Companion connection
I have tried to backup my SD card in my transmitter without success using both companion 2.3 and older versions. When the transmitter is connected to Win 10 there is the usual USB connection sound but in win explorer the tranny does not show up. In devices and printers the STM32 BOOTLOADER is presen...

Range check Opentx Horus
The software for Frsky o.s gives an audible sound ' internal range check' when the transmitter is in range check mode (horus X12s). Is there any way a sound or track can be played during range check in opentx? Any help would be appreciated.

Futaba TM7 module range
I have used a futaba TM7 module in the back of my Horus X12s radio in order to use the many FASST receivers I have. I used the latest Flytron adaptor board to mount the tm7 module. There are a number of posts on the suggested frame rate settings and I believe I have tried all of the combinations. Th...

open Tx throttle to timer setup horus X12S
I have with help from another member got my timer to start at a desired throttle percentage by setting Timer 1 to THt on the Model Setup Screen and in logical Switches setting L01 to a>x THr 71 ( 71 being the setting for the timer to start at about 25%) My problem is once the timer starts bringing t...

FRSKY X12S Futaba Module
I am aware that Flytron make an adaptor board that allows a Futaba TM7 transmitter module fit in the back of a Horus X12S so that FAAST receivers can be used ( does this work???) but there does not seem to be any information on a conversion board for a Futaba TM14 module to go into the XJT dock of t...

Re: Dynamite Prophet Sport Quad 4X50W AC/DC charger
Thanks to you all for your input even those I am going to 'slightly' disagree with. My old technology (a...

Dynamite Prophet Sport Quad 4X50W AC/DC charger
A word of warning about this charger. I thought that with all modern chargers it is impossible for them to charge the wrong cell count i.e you cannot charge a 2s lipo on a 3s setting. They normally report battery voltage incorrect and do not allow charging to proceed. I found out to my cost that I w...

Horus x12s 'Bricked
A member of my flying club has asked me to try to mend a Frsky x12s that he bought new only about six months ago. From what I understand he tried to load OpenTX onto the radio but did not make a backup of the original FROS system. The transmitter is completely ‘black screened’ only the charging ligh...
