All wires must be black-yellow-red https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181008/81cc8dc35096a13da12012e69d1aabf4.jpg That’s original wiring above. I have wired new gimbals as following: Old yellow -> new yellow Old red -> new red Old brown -> new black So your suggestion would be : Yellow > black Red ...

Re: 9XR PRO - better gimbals
I believe they are. I upgraded my Taranis-x9d (using erSky9x firmware) and it made a real difference. Feels like I have better control over the standard Taranis Gimbals when flying. Bob B. Thanks bob, I decided to go one step at a time. Taranis gimbals seems to be a lot easier to fit so I’ll try th...

Re: 9XR PRO - better gimbals
Hello there So I started replacing my gimbals for the ones from FrSky Taranis, but I can’t get the radio to calibrate properly. One direction is fine (say top and left) but the other one (bottom and right) doesn’t go all the way. Even after many attempts of analog calibration. Any tips ? Enviado do ...

Re: Turnigy 9xr pro constant beeping
My XJT module will beep out loud if I turn the radio on with no antena attached.
At first I thought it was something in the radio. But eventually I figured that out.
Any chance that’s your case ?

Re: Problem with forum. Repeatedly "signed off"
I use Google Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Firefox Quantum 61.0.2 (32bit) and I have not had this problem of being signed out randomly. I hope it is fixed soon for you guys ! Still happened to me yesterday or the day before on a Mac machine with Safari. I believe it’s s...

i'm going for the gimbals mod on my 9XR PRO and considering two options: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/frsky-m9-r-hall-sensor-gimbal-for-x9d-x9d-plus-transmitter-black-edition.html ($23) https://hobbyking.com/en_us/frsky-replacement-gimbal-for-taranis-transmitter.html ($14) are the M9 worth the premiu...

Wierd issue with right gimbal
Ok I fixed my right gimbal by pulling it off the radio and pushing a little bit the elevator pot away from the gimbal. Then I pushed it back in. Recalibrate and works like a charm now.

RX Failsafe
He explained it just above. I’m pretty sure he did but my extremely limited experience in the matter didn’t allow me to understand. Let me put in points the information I got from his last post: 1) “send now” will send failsafe values to RX once 2) failsafe values stored in RX are lost after a powe...

When “repeat send” is enabled the radio will keep sending failsafe values even during normal flight ? What’s the purpose?

Re: Questions about RSSI
He is asking if it is normal the RSSI dropping to zero when the RX and Radio are too close.. That should be normal as the RX is probably being swamped.. Signal is too strong. I have never seen it happening in range test mode though. :) João I can reproduce it consistently both in test range mode an...

Re: Questions about RSSI
That is normal. The range check reduces the power to simulate a long distance. Move the radio 30 metres away with the model about 1 metre above the ground Check the RSSI value, a safe reading would be 45+. Got a 64 in plain sight and 45 behind a wall. Guess it’s good then. Re: RX Failsafe
Ok I got it. If anyone else is interested: 1) turn on RX 2) turn on TX 3) go to model setup -> protocol -> external -> long press failsafe 4) set mode to custom 5) set desired channel values or “use actual” 6) press send now (option will blink) 7) press the physical button in RX (the one used for bi...

RX Failsafe
Hello
Where can I find documentation for failsafe menu under protocol (r221) for XJT ?
Didn’t find anything in the document “9XR PRO ERSKY9x explained”.
Thanks

Questions about RSSI
R221, menu protocol option “range test” gives me a number for RSSI. When close to RX (one or two feet away) I get a value of 90 but when too close (a couple inches) RSSI drops immediately to ZERO. Is this normal ? I know my critical alert is set to 42. Is a value of 90 when one feet away from RX goo...

Re: debug voice alert files
By the way Mike, I have noticed the voice pack for the latest firmware isn’t using the voice index as file names anymore. Can I still rely in the old voice index table (I.e. gear up = 76) ?

Automatically generating voice alerts in Mac OS X
Inspired by this topic http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=6871 I decided to create a bash script that makes use of Mac OS X text to speech capabilities to automatically generate voice alert files. I am basically using 3 tools to generate the WAV file required by ersky9xr r221: sa...

hello i have generated the attached WAV files exactly the same way but 9XR Pro (r221) refuses to play one of them. learjet.wav is working, the other one isn't. learjet.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, mono 16000 Hz File: learjet.wav File type ID: WAVE Num Tracks: 1 ...

Re: Assign ID to exponential travel profiles
Try: DrSw1 set as !IDv (!ID2) DrSw2 set as !ID^ (!ID1) In my opinion it will work better. I have just tried in Eepskye :) By the way, triple rates are explained on the Er9x manual, page 42 and 43. João Thanks. It’s clear now. For anyone interested that’s the relevant part: Hi is DrSw1 OFF (DrSw2 do...

Re: Assign ID to exponential travel profiles
Set DrSw1 to !ID^ (!ID0) and DrSw2 to IDv (ID2). With the swith up you get high rate, in the centre you get mid rate and down gives you low rate. Mike That’s the first thing I tried mike, but unfortunately it didn’t work (or I’m doing it wrong). Doing as you said I get MID at the top and HIGH at mi...

Re: Assign ID to exponential travel profiles
You mean something like a triple rate but with Expo only? João? Nope. I know I can set set 3 profiles for EXPO for each channel. So I can have a LOW EXPO, MID EXPO and HIGH EXPO for each channel. I can then assign TWO buttons to switch between those 3 profiles. If I use two normal switches they giv...

Assign ID to exponential travel profiles
Hello
Is there a way to assign the 3 position switch “ID” to exponential travel profiles in the following way:
ID- > LOW
ID > MID
ID+ > HIGH
?
