Re: Use sticks not for servo position but for servo speed

Hi all, I'm using this for pan tilt turret control on a build in doing. Using the ail stick for pan and ele for tilt. Basically I've just set it up as Mikes first post only in opentx. Problem is that when the servo hits the end of its travel it goes nuts. Setup as follows Ch1 is ail stick for pan (d...

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

OK, update. I have now ditched the 9XR and found myself a Taranis 9XD Now I still have not got the menu needed to install the 6pos switch. It has old V1.1.02 firmware on it. I am guessing that I need to update that first? I have Companion 2.2.3 but it couldn't see the tx. So I downloaded the first v...

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

FrSky include a 6-pos switch on the X12S (Horus) and it is available as a spare part. It is also available as a spare/upgrade part for the Taranis (complete with control knob). I see them on T9hobbysport in the UK, and I would expect Aloft to have them in the US. These come complete with resistors ...

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

6pos switch is ordered, I'll post up here once it arrives as I know I'll need a lot of help (nearly step by step) to get the job done.
Being down here in New Zealand it'll likely take 2-3 weeks to get here.
Cheers guys

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

That might be an easier option then. I couldn't see a link to a dial that'll fit. Is there a recommended one? Looking at the diagram it looks like it's an either/or situation. Either a 6pos pot or 3x 3pos switches. If I did the 6pos pot mod is there any way to add 3pos switches later? Thanks for you...

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

Ok, so where exactly does this 6pos switch/knob go physically?
That sounds like it could be a winner.

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

Thanks Mike, I just watched a similar vid to this.
I'm guessing it's a bit more of a nightmare changing the pots over then?
My concern is that changing those switches to 3pos will mess up mixing etc I already have on other models?
Or would they be OK as they are set to +100 & -100?

HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO

Hey all, looking for someone with a little patience that can walk me through this. I am wanting to replace my never used pots for 3 pos switches on my 9XR Pro. Mainly the PIT.TRIM/AUX.2 pot but all 3 would be great. I can solder but knowing what needs to be done physically and in the programming is ...

Re: Just a bit thick?

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I figured I would try taking out the signal pin and turn it on and off using a servo as a controller. Same way guys use them for rc crawler winches. It worked........briefly. Powered it on and it started cycling all the modes which looked OK, it didn't like that tho an...

Just a bit thick?

Hey all, now I may just be having an off day here but this stupid light is kicking my arse. Here's a link to what I have : https://astecmodels.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=31_35&products_id=491 Now when plugged into rx the light is always on, flicking the relevant switch changes its mode. I...

Re: Who's got time for a noob? 9XR & 9XR Pro

ok, so I got a mate of mine with opentx on hie Taranis to sort me out. I have got both working with opentx now. However, now when I have just tried to connect the pro to opentx and clicked read models and settings from tx it gives an error message about "Invalid binary EEPROM file......" A...

Who's got time for a noob? 9XR & 9XR Pro

Hey guys, here's the situation. I have a 9XR that I use with EzUHF module on a couple of planes. Just bought myself a 9XR Pro to upgrade to and then use my 9XR for all my 2.4ghz FrSky stuff (ditching my old spektrum). Now I am 36, ok with pc's but both tx's have completely different menus etc. Quest...
