Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

ExpressLRS ESP backpack mod in my R9M https://github.com/ExpressLRS/ExpressLRS/wiki/ESP-Backpack-Addon. I can tx log messages and it looks like 200hz is ok: 2021-04-28T23:19:51.668Z CRSF Bad:Good 0:200 But lower rates 50hz and 100hz is out of sync: 2021-04-28T23:19:22.647Z CRSF Bad:Good 0:167 2021-...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

This question is for Mike B or a power user who is in the know. Is there a plan to support the new ExpressLRS protocol for 900mhz? It's my understanding that you have to download a special version of OpenTX to use it, wondering if this is coming to ERSKYTX?

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

I have version V. 3531-Mike 08.01.2016... I assume this is why I don't see XFIRE? I could update it to the latest ERSKYTx, but am afraid of losing all my settings! Unfortunately I am no seasoned user  I've never lost a model or any other setting when flashing my radio to a newer version of...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

In erskyTx, there should be 3 possible settings, SING, OSMP and FILT, in the hardware menu. SING is single, read the ADC value once and use it. There may be some jitter on the resulting value depending on the quality of the gimbals. OSMP is Over-Sample, read the ADC 4 times quickly and take the ave...

ADC Filter

Hey all, I'm hoping Mike or one of the other power users can help. Betaflight 4.2 is out and the developers are making the recommendation to turn off the ADC Filter in OpenTx. Well I don't use that stuff so I went into the hardware menu and there is not option to turn off the ADC filter right now it...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

Log from the radio doesn't tell anything, it can't know what the module/receiver do with the info they're given. Need the blackbox log to see what they mean. What OpenTX 2.3 changed is that its mixer calculations are synchronised with the pulse output (was supposed to be the case before, but didn't...

Re: Frsky R9M

The 9XR-PRO is able to update modules and receivers/SPort devices, from the SD card, using the module bay. Be aware, for receivers/SPort devices, the pins are in the wrong order and you need to use a cable that swaps power and ground. In any case, it is necessary to get to the "Finding Device&...

Re: Ersky9x Test Versions

Quick question, I'm using the R9M and one of it's previous updates made a change to the 1w power mode so it essentially starts at 100mw and changes power up to 1w as the RSSI signal gets weaker. Is this update reflected in the latest test versions of firmware? I was looking at the test versions page...

Switch arm with DJI Naza M lite

Hi all, My brother has a DJI Naza M Lite, running the latest version of Ersky9x on 9xrPro. He wants to arm the quadcopter using a switch instead of the stick arming. Thanks everyone for your input. Re: Keep breaking XJT modules

I also put electrical tape around the module, however this is the least of my problems. XJT modules keep breaking and don't know why. At the risk of this happening again I just bought a QX7. I'll run Ersky9xr on it but just don't want to keep buying a new module every year.

Keep breaking XJT modules

Hey guys, before I go shell out $104 on a QX 7, thought I would try to see what if anything can be done. I have been using the Frsky XJT module in my radio now for almost two years, in that time I've gone through two modules, for some reason they keep breaking. This time the module is contantly beep...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

Ok, it appears I'm a dummy. I'm pretty sure that I was able to get GPS on my radio once I set the RSSI channel to the correct aux channel in betaflight. I am doing to good ol' loop back method to get RSSI on my OSD, using channel 6 (aux 2). Turns out I had the RSSI channel set to aux 6 in Betaflight...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

Regarding the "Script Error", please check in the Telemetry|Custom menu that the custom display is set to "Values" and not "Script". I looked at the raw log files, the only GPS data in them is the GPS Heading, no Lat or Long data, so it seems the GPS Lat and Long are n...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

The raw log file is empty, and also doesn't have a date on it. Is your real time clock (RTC) running? Has the battery that keeps it running gone flat? This is important as the signal that controls whether telemetry data is inverted or not is controlled by an output from the RTC chip. When you selec...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

With everything running, go to the Telemetry/Logging menu. At the extreme right of the display, there is a tick shown beside any values that are being received. LAT and LONG are near the end of the items. See if either has a tick (not the one in te box that selects them for logging). Also, you coul...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

No, if GPS data is sent over the SPort, then it should appear on the GPS display screen, and be available to log. I would guess that the GPS data is not being sent from Betaflight. Mike Mike I inquired over on the Betaflight thread on RC Groups and was informed that indeed Betaflight does send GPS ...

Re: How to receive GPS on 9xrPro Ersky9xr 221 g7

I don't know Betaflight, but it seems you don't have any SPort telemetry working. SWR comes from the Tx module and RSSI comes from the Rx. Mike Just realized I didn't save in the betaflight configurator so I do have S port telemetry working now. I see FasV, amps and all sorts of other info. Just no...
