Re: Voice Packs for Ersky9x
I tried to install TTSAutomate in Wine but didn't get very far sadly. Ended up installing it in my Windows 7 virtual machine and it worked fine in there. Incidentally on my X9D+ I don't seem to be able to read the SD card when connecting via USB. It can see the device but doesn't know how to read it...

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
Cheers for the feedback Dave. I think the link is just how dropbox works so not a lot I can do about it but it'll stay live for the time being anyway. Glad it's working well though - I installed Mint Linux on a spare laptop and tested it on there to be sure too and it seems it's a good installer, ju...

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
Ooh I wonder if Dropbox has redone the link when I replaced the file? Not normally something I use so it's possible.
I've recreated the shared link to the new file so try this one instead.

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
@Suncoaster - I've just recompiled with the changes Mike advised for getting the wizard working. I've updated the download file with the new version so if you want to re-download and try again to see if it works or not? Seems to have grown in size somewhat (108Mb now) but I recompiled QT for static ...

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
Hi Mike, I used a package called cqtdeployer which is available through the Ubuntu software installer and is a console run program. I pulled the compiled eepskye file from where QT had built it and dropped it into a more accessible location - for me /home/leigh/eepe then used the following command i...

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
OK, no idea if this will work but this *should* be a usable install file for Ubuntu and Debian variants that packages the required libraries together. Untested on any other system as yet but in theory it it should work - just unzip, give execute permissions to the .run file and it should fire up the...

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
Well, that worked successfully and I now have a usable 64bit Qt5 binary.
However, I now need to work out the best way to make it distributable but that's for tomorrow I think but so far so good!

Re: eepskye Linux crashes
Running into a similar issue trying to install now I've moved over to Ubuntu 20.04 from Windows (long story but sick of the speed of Windows 10 - or lack of!).
If you could give a few tips of what's required to compile I could give it a go on here if you like?

No problems once I'd got the SD card formatted correctly anyway! Once I'd re-formatted the card and copied the files back over from the 9XR card it was plain sailing

Re: 9XR-PRO Hacks and Fixes
Hi slimvulcanrider, You can flash erSky9x to your new Taranis x9d plus (http://www.er9x.com/) and here is some info where to fine what is needed for the SD card: erSky9x Directory List (layout) for Micro SD Card (https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=9034#p116984). Some more info ...

RxNum, on the internal XJT module, doesn't work with 'D' receivers as the RF protocol doesn't support it. Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
Quick update - ran the X9D this morning on my little SBach that has a D4R-II receiver in and it's all good. Model memory is spot on from the transfer and the receiver was a simple bind and failsafe setup as per normal. Only thing I need to have a look at is the rx_num option. I'm assuming that works...

That sorted it Mike - thank you!
Must have needed the import first to get the pointers right before having the models copied in. Will get some receivers bound tonight and see what it performs like now that's sorted

Yes that's pretty much what I did, imported from the 9xr then set the preferences to the X9D+.
I didn't copy and paste though, instead I loaded each model in one but one, so that may be one to try too...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
Thanks Mike. Will give that a try tomorrow. As it stands I imported the models from.the 9xr, saved each one as an individual model file. Selected the X9D in eepe then created a new model list. I the imported each model one by one and checked tpmmake sure the switch/slider assignments were ok. Might ...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
Quick update. After grabbing a spare SD card I formatted it and built the directory structure back up from scratch and it now works and plays the audio fine. For some reason the other SD card was refusing to be read by erSky9x so I couldn't update the bootloader or access any of the audio files. How...

OK, the X9D has arrived and I have duly upgraded it to erSky9x. However I seem to be completely at a loss as to why the voices aren't working on it? I've copied my voice folder from the laptop to the X9D's SD card exactly how I did with the 9XR-Pro but still can't see any voice files to select. Also...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
I'm guessing I'll be needing to update the bootloader to get everything loaded up? I found a guide on uploading erSky9x onto a QX7 which I'm guessing is going to be rather similar. If it is the same or similar then it looks like it'll be very straight forward to do. One other thing Mike, is it possi...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
So I suppose the big question will be - do I upload the firmware via SD card or do I do it via eePeSky? I can't seem to find a definitive answer as I keep getting led down the hole of upgrading OpenTx rather than installing erSky9x. Still a few days before the Taranis arrives though due to the new y...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
I've been using an internal DHT module on the 'PRO - hence I have quite a few D8 and clone receivers in use. So long as I can get them working with the internal XJT module I'll be happy at least although I have the MultiModule too, but since I transferred most of my stuff over to FrSky I've not used...

Fantastic thanks Mike. I did a spot of digging last night and I think I need to upgrade/crossgrade the internal module to support the D8 mode and remove the EU LBT restrictions. Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
Hopefully it'll be just a few tweaks to get everything set up right.
Just had another thought though - do I need to worry about the EU LBT stuff running erSky9x or is that just something that OpenTX has to deal with as it's the firmware that comes shipped with the radio?

Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions
After a few bits and bobs happening with my 9XR-Pro and me ending up having to take the soldering iron to it to get it to power back up I've sort of lost confidence in it so have bit the bullet and ordered myself a Taranis X9D plus (not SE). Obviously I'm pretty well versed in ERSky9X so I want to s...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting
Found a bug with 222a8 on my 9XR-Pro today at the field I think. I fired up a plane using one of my AFHDS2A receivers which was fine on a5 and it refused to connect to the receiver using the multi module. Initially I thought I may have messed up something with the bind, but it refused to stay in bin...

Re: Speaker holder mod for the pro
I might have to give this a go and see if it will fit inside my radio with the internal module and associated wiring.
Good job though - with a bit of modding and tweaking it's really easy to get a top notch radio out of these 9XR Pro's isn't it?
