Re: Suggestion: Display TX battery & telemetry voltage in %

But is this already possible? I really would like this feature, because I'm not good at calculating "on the fly" Dennis: It is absolutely possible, and in fact already done on the ER9X and Open9X codebases... The issue appears to be how fast new features get put into Companion9X in order ...

in the mixes: ch5 R -100 HALF sw1 R -100 HALF sw2 in custom switches: sw1: |v| > ofs AIL 50 GEA sw2: |v| > ofs ELE 50 GEA This LOOKS great, and makes sense, except the Gods of Open9X have mangled the options available in mixes again, such that "HALF" and "FULL" are no longer ava...

Re: remote debug/simulation?

Compiling simu on linux is fantastic... Wish I had that before I flashed 20 times last night... :-P

One question on the simulator: why are there 12 dials? 9-11 seems to be the pots, but the others don't seem to be toggling switches (?).

what 'options' are included in this version of the Open9x. (ie, noht,.....) 9X, stock, std (m64) autoswitch, dblkeys, splash, graphics, bold, battgraph, progress bar Basically, all the options for a stock board w/o any of the voice, telemetry, etc for non-stock... Interpolated fuel gauge, I received an email from somebody proposing to implement this feature, you? Yes, that was me. And most of gauge code is done, limping along uploading firmware after firmware until I got the bugs out... Check it out (stock M64 compile attached >>... and removed again now tha...

Re: remote debug/simulation?

I'm playing with some new GUI code, interpolated fuel gauge(s), and random other tweaks for those who want more mods in the software than hardware... :-) Will have to see how many of my ideas actually work out, but I'll send them back if they do... :-) I got WinAVR to be able to compile the code (wh...

remote debug/simulation?

Greetings fellow nerdlings... :-) I was trying to figure out how to "attach" to the M64 for code debugging, and wondering if this is even possible with amateur level external equipment (ie connecting through a programmer, not resoldering lots of CPU pins like "real developers" do...

If I understand your intent, it doesn't sound like a curve is necessary...just add 30% weight to the mix, which "scales" the mix to only 30% action. If I'm not understanding, tell me desired modes and values, and I'll make up the program to do it... Gyro

Re: Gvars... Wassat!!!

Another usage as described by Rob, is if you have several mixes that need the same weight for example, but you need to adjust it frequently. Instead of having to change weight from 90 to 80 on 6 different mixes, you'll set the weight of all 6 mixes to GV1, then you only need to change the value of ...

Re: Elevon Mix

I am not sure what you're asking here. Do you mean something like a v-tail that only has 2 servos driving ailerons and elevators? Or one that has ailerons and flaps and elevators? One that has ailerons used as flaps, aka flaperons? From the factory what servos are moving what surfaces?

Re: Elevon Mix

It will work for any plane that has two elevator servos drivable by different radio channels. You need er9x on your radio and eepe on your pc, and then just load or cut/paste my mixes into the model you want it on, and send it to the radio.

Re: Gyro's "Dumb" Tx Changes...

I would imagine heat shrink would work, but you'd be limited by the availability of colors... I can only readily get black and red myself.

Also, the ends of the switches wouldn't be covered that way, so I think the paint/nail polish ends up looking better...

Any pictures? Like to see colored switches. :) Here's a picture of one of the colored switches on a buddy's radio... He originally did my idea with various color electrical tape, which was not as satisfactory IMHO... here it is after I painted the front N12 switch. Also shown, my own little TK swit...

Re: LiFe Battery Pack

Yes I was using very quick and dirty math, assuming flat drains and lossless conversions which don't exiswt. It was a ballpark demonstration. I myself have never fully recovered a battery from full drain, seen or heard it done, or heard the chemistry could allow it done. But as you note ER9X warning...

Re: LiFe Battery Pack

PS: For those wondering about leaving a 2500mah/3S alone, the math gets too wonky to process easily outside of real-world measurements... 2500mah going 12.6 to 10.2 would appear to give you 6000 mahV to use, BUT by then you've changed the voltage "enough" that the voltage regulators are ki...

Full charge is 10,8v, but it will drop rapidly from that to 9,9v once disconnected from the charger (this is normal) You can safely go down as low as 8,4v on that one, (some mentioned it can drop off fast, but I have not seen this myself) I confirm all of this as dead on. The battery is 1500 mah, a...
