Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Thanks Mike I'll ask over there. There now seems to be a V0.3 which has fixed the flashing on Horus. The last sensor in the list still doesn't read existing ID but I've made a copy that works for X8R2ANA by moving another sensor to last in the list. local sensor = {sensorType = {selected = 12, list ...

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Many thanks Mike.
Maybe someone from OpenTx will spot this. Is there anywhere else I could ask?

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Mike, I've been trying to use the LUA script from your link on a Taranis and a Horus that are running OpenTx. 2.2.4. The script runs fine and if I select any other sensor, it goes off and reads the existing ID and subsequently allows changing said ID. When I select X8R2ANA, it does not enter the Rea...

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Thanks Mike. I had already realised about my supply being straight from the Rx. Parts on order to fix that.
I'd completely missed the PB4 switch between Temp and A2 though. Nice feature.

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Update, I seem to only get A1 on the Tx if I ground pin3 (PB4).
But the A1 voltage seems to be being measured if I apply that to pin 7 (PB2). I guess I have something set up wrong somewhere.

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors
Thanks Mike I have loaded that in a an ATTiny85 and the Tx sees A2. If I ground one of the inputs the Tx also sees A1. I think that's how it should work? I'm getting nothing like the voltages I expect. Can I just check the pinout? S.port is in pin 6. Are the two analog inputs on pins 2 & 3? Volt...

Re: A3 & A4 reading 10x real values
Scale voltage fixes it very nicely thanks Mike. I'm still not fully understanding but I'm fine with that. The actual measured voltage, when 6.6v is applied via my potential divider is around 1.16v This must be being scaled by the values in the #define RESISTOR lines before being displayed as 66V (no...

A3 & A4 reading 10x real values
I've built a sensor to report A3, A4 and Altitude only. My problem is that A3 and A4 show up on my Horus X12 as 10X the actual values as measured with a multimeter. i.e. a 6.6V LiFe battery reads 66V on the Horus. I'm using a Pro-Mini 3v3 8Mhz and have programmed with the right IDE settings. Basic /...

Hi Weds whereabouts in the world are you? I have no intention of doing these commercially but do still have a couple in the box, that I'd be willing to post within the UK. Happy to do the odd one at cost to help the open source nature. I can get more made, that takes about 3 weeks at the (low) price...

Re: Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
Here are the jpgs of the PCB.
I think it's mostly self explanatory. But fire away with any questions.
I'll try to find time to do more of a description soon.
I don't have a schematic at this point.

Re: Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
Ok I don't know what's going on but I just went through this sequence. 1 Resoldered my ms5611 back on to the suspect Arduino board. 2 Tested and Alt/Vspd worked fine. (Not 100% sure here what the config is at this point). 3 Uploaded from AVR with // removed from "number of cells" line. 4 T...

Re: Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
Apologies I thought the question was rhetorical.
I couldn't read the chip type as there was a patch of white paint on it. But scratching that off has revealed MEGA328P
See photo.

Re: Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
Thanks mstrens. I've just done similar. First with a 5v Arduino. Which worked fine. Then with a new 3.3V one and that works too. (Without cells connected because it's separate to my "mother" PCB at the moment. The original still shows the symptoms. Comment out "Number of cells" a...

Re: Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
OK mstrens many thanks. You're correct, I am using a 3.3v arduino pro mini because it's on board 3v3 regulator takes care of any supply differences that might vary between a 4 cell nimh, 2 cell life or BEC supply for the RC, or indeed any supply fluctuations during flight. I think I do have a 5V one...

Alt/Vspd and Cells won't co-exist
Hi I've built a number of these sensors and have had great success so far. I'm developing a PCB to mount Arduino, MS5611, a current sensor and 5x PD resistor chains so that I can monitor a 4S lipo "cells". The problem I have is that with Number of Cells set to 4 (or other numbers) the Alt ...

Re: Individual cell voltages.openTx 2.2
Update. Running the ACS758 at 3.3v means it's output voltage is lower per Amp. So config.h needs a tweak to accommodate that. The good news is that this means the 100A one still measures up to 100A. One minor downside is that the chips are factory trimmed with a 5v supply. So when using 3.3v, the of...

Re: Individual cell voltages.openTx 2.2
OK further questions if that's OK? 1) I've used a 3.3v 8mhz Arduino nano pro so that I have supply headroom from a 5v BEC or 4.8v NiMh. I'm using the on board 3.3v regulator as a V reference and to supply the ACS758 current sensor. Are there any issues with this approach? I see that this limits the ...
