Re: Vario setup for FLYSKY receivers

Oops!! I recall asking a similar question when trying to get other sensors to work on my 9xr Pro/OpenTx2.2.1. (in the end, I used ERSKY9x which proved to be very good..). When I raised the question about why I could not get the external voltage sensor to show in the telemetry display, even though I ...

Re: Vario setup for FLYSKY receivers

Of course.... I'm using the IrangeX 4 in 1 Tx module. It automatically picks up a range of sensors that are included in the FLYSKY receiver, Rx volts, TSS (like a range finder, I think) and on some of my receivers of the same type, several other signal strength indicators. Most, but not all, see the...

Vario setup for FLYSKY receivers

Hi, I am running OpenTx2.2.1 on my Taranis Q-X7. It all works very well for me and my thermal glider mixes. I have a collection of FLYSKY AFHDS-2A receivers (FSIA-6B) from my foamies and re-introduction to RC stuff. Recently, I bought a couple of the Turnigy altitude sensors to try out. I was surpri...

Re: How to program a Taranis X9DPlus so left throttle stick reads zero at center position

"I need the radio to see that stick at zero throttle before I can arm my drone and enable the barometer." Do you need the receiver output to be at minimum throttle whilst the stick is at centre? You will see on the screens that the output goes from -100 to +100 (%). -100 is normally min th...

Re: SD card content for Ersk9x-r221

Thanks for your help.. I used the 9XR Pro + IrangeX 4-in-1 module with Ersk9x r221 on a couple of models on FLYSKY AFDHS protocol and FLYSKY AFHDS A2 (this includes telemetry). It all worked flawlessly. I am very impressed by the telemetry performance of the setup.

Re: SD card content for Ersk9x-r221

Thank you, very useful...
Setting up my 9XRPro for use with the irangeX muliprotocol 4 in 1 module.
Now with the addition of voice files, all seems to work nicely.
hope to try out on a (flying) model this weekend.

Re: Q7X Telemetry via Multimodule OpenTx 2.2.1

Just as an exercise, I fitted the module to my 9XR Pro and loaded Ersky9x-r221. This returns telemetry as OpenTx 2.2.1 does on my Q7X. Ersky9X must not treat the values returned in the same way. I can set a logical switch that does see the value drop and activates the switch and so can be made to so...

Re: Q7X Telemetry via Multimodule OpenTx 2.2.1

I didn't consider that... so even though the right values are being delivered to the Tx from the module, the module F/W could be suspect?
I was hoping that I was doing something wrong...would be nice to hear from any that have it working..

Q7X Telemetry via Multimodule OpenTx 2.2.1

Hi, My QX7 is running OpenTx 2.2.1. It has been working very well so far, on some FRSKY D8 receivers, all without telemetry. As I have a bunch of FLYSKY AFHDS 2A receivers, I thought that it would be great to use the "4 in 1" multimodule to get all my FRSKY and FLYSKY (and maybe more) work...

Re: Please help me to setup a voice Countdown timer.

Thanks João, I haven't claimed that the old method is easier, just that for someone who "hacked it" on the old method, and has yet to learn the new method, it seemed intuitive..and foremost, it was a surprise that it worked at all! I will invest the time to learn and use the new method.

Re: Please help me to setup a voice Countdown timer.

The sounds from my 9XR Pro seem to be sorted now. But here's an odd thing... you know how blokes like to have a go and then read the manual only when it won't work? Well, with r220 and the wrong sound pack ~(older version, numbered wav files), I has happy with the way voice switches (in safety switc...

Re: Please help me to setup a voice Countdown timer.

Thank you João, Luckily for me, you are aware of the stupid things that the inexperienced can do.. The wrong voice pack! Now the Tx has quite a lot to say, in a rather smooth voice. Countdown is fine. Thanks for your patience... As a coincidence, I saw on HK that the 9x using AFDHS 2A protoco...

Re: Sound stops working on OpenTx 2.2.0 9xrpro

If I remember correctly, only three (plus parenthesis) are displayed on the Tx screen for lines in the mix. Perhaps the global variables allowed more... but the feature I mean is that any kind of label stays on the Tx displayed info.

Re: Sound stops working on OpenTx 2.2.0 9xrpro

Thanks for the "sales pitch". I have played with both systems, although not in great depth, before I chose OpenTx..... The main reason may be of interest as it is so basic . OpenTx allows the use of three character labels on the mixes. When trying to make a change at the flying field, mont...

Re: Sound stops working on OpenTx 2.2.0 9xrpro

For further info, I've loaded Ersky9xr-r220. It has run for a few of hours so far, several 10-15 minute flights and plenty of bench time. The voice alerts have not failed, so this doesn't look very like a hardware fault.

Please help me to setup a voice Countdown timer.

Can anyone point me to a resource that describes how to set up a countdown timer with voice alerts at minute intervals, then more frequent in the last minute? From the standard manuals, I can see how in might be done in the voice alarms, one alarm/alert for each point, but I'm hoping that there is a...

Sound stops working on OpenTx 2.2.0 9xrpro

I posted elsewhere about this when it looked as if this was a model configuration problem. Now it looks more like a firmware problem. Having loaded 2.2.0 f/w (with GVAR option or GVAR + autoswitch) onto my 9xrPro, the voice or sounds stop working after a few minutes. There is a good variation in the...

Re: Voice files stop playing.

Having listed the things I'd tried, it seemed that there's more easy things to eliminate. If a simple model config fails on 2.2.0, I can at least try the same on 2.1.9. So far it has outlasted the same on 2.2.0 and run for an hour. Maybe worthwhile a more complex definition. I wonder if this post is...

In an effort to move somewhere on my problem, I tried: Reloaded and different sound packs. A different 9XR Pro Tx with its own SD card. Regenerated and reloaded 2.2.0 Tried 2.1.9 but found model configs reported as "not compatible" (I can see no reason that 2.1.9 might fare any better). Tr...

Re: Voice files stop playing.

So, in the field, it's no different. Is there a pointer to indicate the part of the firmware that runs sound files is stopped? would be really helpful if I could determine that the hardware was at fault.

Re: Voice files stop playing.

After a while playing around with this. it seems that the sounds/voice stops after the combined haptic/beep warning (as set in the mix window) has sounded. The loss of sound is not immediate, but can happen several seconds later. Tx seems to be stable once all combined haptic/beep events were desele...

New card (tested). Still the voice stops after a while. Noticed this time that the beeps stopped also but the haptic continued. Replaced the Amber voice pack with the original for 2.2.0. Voice (and beeps) stops after around 8 mins. Does not appear to be related to any particular function input. Seem...
