Re: 9XR PRO - better gimbals

Ok I made some photos of my installation M9 gimbals into my 9XR PRO, yesterday. The whole process took about 5 hours. Result is quiet good and I am happy with a new sticks but the way how to get them into this radio isn't really cool :( As playlet said before, it was really massacre but I thing that...

Re: Adding Bluetooth module

Hello,

can anyone tell me the correct type of desired connector on 9XR PRO board? I tried everything but I cannot find the right one. Looks like JST-something, PH maybe ? I found one in local R/C models store but it looked different, now when I searching on the web it looks like jst-ph 2 mm..

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

The UART adapters are kinda redundant - much more efficient to talk smart port directly on both sides. Again see how this was implemented in betaflight, and you might want to port something similar to that code to whatever device you want to communicate with. I didn't catch that for the first time....

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

 Hm I unexpectedly found another thread about frsky UART... http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=7080 with kind of deeper insight to baud rates and current projects.. Another possibility for Betaflight. It appears to respond to SPort data sent from the Tx. Scripting is now in...

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

That would have to be specific to every flight controller then.. Not sure Mike would implement them all. :) You can ask him though. ;) João Sent from my thor using Tapatalk I am trying to find something to help the community 8-) thus I don't want Mike to implement everything. I will buy some hardwa...

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

With Ersky9x you can already do similar. The only limitation is that the existing android app for frsky telemetry only works in D8 mode, I think. I already had D telemetry displayed on my phone sent from my radio over bluetooth.. João Thanks I will try it.. But I thought about operations like updat...

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

Hi, sorry for lack of information from me. I have read frsky UART manual, so I know its possibilities. I am just curious to know if UART acts as another sensor, if its packing UART data the same way as sensors - some pairs of sensor address and its value, but bidirectionally - IMHO yes. I am just tr...

Re: s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

Thanks Mike. I couldn't find any related information somewhere else, like on frsky website and so on. Maybe I was searching bad. There are two s.ports indeed on both - sensors and uart interface. I was trying to find some definition like "the upper one is master, lower is for RX" but there...

s.port multiple telemetry sources or uart data

Hi, I am trying to figure if is possible to connect multiple telemetry sources at once to RX's s.port without additional hardware ? I have pixhawk with frsky telemetry passthrough to X8R and I would like to add battery cells monitor. Can I merge these two sources just by splitting signal wire in s.p...

I too would like to flash the Orange TX Module to "Multi". I found some files on GitHub with the name Multiprotocol v1.1.6 . How do I use them to flash the module. My hardware is the same as Timemaster's , 9xrpro with Ersky9xr R219 firmware and the Orange module with Telemetry. It's worki...

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

I may buy second kit to have working setup and then I will try to add code for getting data over spektrum module, it should work one day with some care.. Can anybody confirm me, will this combo work ? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/frsky-xjt-2-4ghz-combo-pack-for-jr-w-telemetry-module-x8r-8-16ch-s-bus-...

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

Ok, so first option is to buy frsky set.. I found another one - original spektrum modules, they can send similar telemetry data, here is some explanation: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1726960-Spektrum-Telemetry-reverse-engineered-make-DIY-sensors-! So if we have support in ersky9x ...

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

I have no separate sensors, pixhawk flight controller has all of them.. I thought that s.bus is two way protocol, so I have decided to buy s.bus receiver.. but that was the mistake :) this receiver hasn't smart port ( or something like s.bus input :( ) it has only a a few ports for specific sensors....

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

Thanks.. I have the same opinion and I was afraid of that.. R1220X has some input ports for A-meter, RPM and two sat ports.. I guess I will be able to send some data over them but it would be everything :(

Re: ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

Hi Mike, thanks for your message and your work, everything works perfect.. you're right. I have probably overlooked one thing - correct telemetry setting is needed to show RSSI range check under the bind option and telemetry selection to 'auto' wasn't sufficient in my case. Ok, I have value about 30...

ersky9x no RSSI range and no telemetry with MULTI on OrangeRX

Hi, I am facing a problem with RSSI range check and telemetry transmission on my 9XR PRO with OrangeTX module flashed with MULTI protocol firmware. This is my first setup and first project with this radio, so I have read a lot of threads. I have decided to install ersky9x on my 9xr pro because I hav...
