Re: Horus X10S Express EU <--> Non EU

Hello, I changed the script "isr_mode_1.lua" to adapt it to Horus X10 Express. I only tried it in the Companion simulator, the presentation and keyboard part worked fine, but I couldn't test read and write of LBT-FCC mode. If you want to test it under your responsibility, you have it here...

Re: FrSky ACCESS features support

OTA is supported. Telemetry from multiple sources... current ACCESS firmware actually doesn't support it yet, FrSky kinda pushed it to "future improvement"... Thanks Kilrah. It looked like multiple RX telemetry is supported by OpenTX 2.3, even by looking at RSSI source selector, but if Fr...

FrSky ACCESS features support

Is OpenTX able to fully support new ACCESS features? Like telemetry from up to three receivers or OTA? The first one seems not to be implemented yet. I have two ACCESS 2.1.0 receivers bound to my radio running OpenTX 2.3.7. Telemetry reads data from the first receiver only. Also RSSI source cannot b...

OpenTX 2.3 radio log viewer

Is there a log viewer which would work on the radio with OTX 2.3 ?

Unfortunately LView (https://github.com/RealTadango/FrSky/tree/master/LView) seems not to be maintained any more and it is not working on 2.3...

Only if the radio has the ACCESS module, and that module has had a hardware modification done to it. It is Express version, so it has ACCESS module. Was trying to find something about this HW mod, but coudn't - would you have some link? I guess I will simply wait for PARA bluetooth to be implemente...

Re: MultiTX module as trainer / OTX 2.3.2 on Horus X10

Companion still needs a bunch of work to be brought up to speed with all the multi related changes. But if it's not on the radio it's not available. The module pin has never been available as an input on the Horus platform. Oh, that's a bummer :(. So, if input pin is not available on Horus at all, ...

Re: MultiTX module as trainer / OTX 2.3.2 on Horus X10

This functionality has been pushed to a further release due to the need for a safety-related fix which 2.3.2 is. Thanks Kilrah. They must have it wrong on MultiTX github docs (link above): Available in OpenTX 2.3.2, Trainer Mode Master/Multi And what about SBUS / CPPM? I thought it was already avai...

MultiTX module as trainer / OTX 2.3.2 on Horus X10

Seems it ishould be possible on OTX 2.3.2 to use FlySky RX mode (protocol 56) of MultiTX module as a trainer in master mode. https://github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module/blob/master/Protocols_Details.md#flysky-afhds2a-rx---56 The above says that OpenTX 2.3.2 is required, which I have ...

It also helps if you read specs and instruction manual of specific model before purchase. Would spare you necessity of writing posts ranting on something that is simply not in the specification of the product.

Re: PARA trainer in Horus X10/S Express / OTX 2.3.1

I have X10S Express and X9DP SE 2019, so both PARA.

What I have noticed though is that X10 is not showing Local Address in radio setup (and there is no place for Remote Address as well).

Seems like my X10 is having hw issue with contacting PARA module. Do I read "the signs" correctly?

Re: Total duration time in Companion

That would be very useful to have there sum of the durations (of all flights), not a time between beginning of the first flight and finish of the very last one (this is not total duration in this context, assuming it should be sum of all listed durations). Proper total duration would show how much t...

This is what I thought. It also has two internal antennas (apparently as X10 no S). I'm surprised all antennas cannot be used in the same time, as in X12S.

Well, that is the idea. Specially on four stroke engines I keep the plug ON when the engine is at idle and a little above. Plug turns OFF at about 1/3 throttle. I don't know what radio you use, but mine has telemetry and I can program logic on it. This means that I can program it to detect if the p...

Re: Onboard Glow Igniter With ATtiny85

Nothing worse than going to the field, engine being too stubborn to fire, and then after one hour if trying you finally find out that along with the wrong carb setting, your glow starter is also not working well, or the glow plug got bad. So, power panel all the way :) at least I can see when, and ...

Re: Onboard Glow Igniter With ATtiny85

The problem is that the glow starter batteries are often too small and/or in poor shape. They are usually 1.2 Ah and work well initially when freshly charged but lose capacity and develop high internal resistance as they age. I use a big fat D size 5 Ah NiCd which lasts for weeks and fires up engin...

Re: Onboard Glow Igniter With ATtiny85

You forgot that the resistance of the plug will be completely different once it gets hot. resistance will increase.. So, 5 amperes are far out in my opinion :) A driver is designed to be a constant current device.. What is important in this case is the current not the voltage. Try a small 1.5V batt...

Re: Onboard Glow Igniter With ATtiny85

Stable 1.5V might work for some plugs, or might not. It depends on what current the battery can supply as well.. The resistance of brand new OS no. 8 plug is 0.3ohm. So the current at 1.5V will be 5A (which is inline with my measurements, +/- resistance change due to temp change or imperfection of ...
