Re: Serial communication over Frsky Telemetry Link

I have checked the HC-05 BT module connected directly (no radio) to a Matek F405 serial port, running Ardupilot and everything connects as expected with Qgroundcontrol on my Android phone, so that rules out problems with the BT module. However, I cannot connect the BT module to the Telemetry viewer ...

Re: Serial communication over Frsky Telemetry Link

What is the communication speed of s.Port? Does it need to be configured on the Telemetry settings page (erskytx)?
I need to connect the s.Port on an XJT module to a Bluetooth module and I need to configure the connection speed of the serial port on the BT module.

Telemetry passthru via XJT s-Port connection

Can someone pls provide the correct config settings so that telemetry data is mirrored out the s-port on a XJT module?

Re: Understanding mixer offset

Second attempt:

CH2 100 Ele
+ -30 HALF
Sw ELE, Ofst 0

This seems to work better. Only minor issue is the max down elevator PWM is less than 2000 (1850).

I also restricted it to work only with the flight MODES I might use for launching.

Understanding mixer offset

I want to add a small amount of up elevator on launch using the ELE switch. This mix produces a result by lowering the pwm from 1500 (mid point) except the max pwm is much lower than the required 2000. CH2 100 Ele + -30 sELE Ofst -30 I had to decrease both the weight AND Offset otherwise the mid pos...

Re: Frsky telemetry from iNav - mAh values not correct

While debugging the iNav flight mode and GPS telemetry, I have a custom page set up showing T1= and T2=.
Can you pls confirm the maximum number of digits that can be displayed for these 2 variables? I am concerned that the numbers coming through may be truncated.

Re: Frsky telemetry from iNav - mAh values not correct

Yes CH5 is my channel for flight modes in this model. I have always assigned the switches in the mix, since I didn't realize it was possible to do otherwise. And yes, I only use the Fl.Modes page to get the display name and the VoiceAudio to select the voice file from the same switch. It is a bit cu...

Re: Frsky telemetry from iNav - mAh values not correct

Please explain exactly what you mean by adding the flight mode names to the mixer pages. What numbers are you seeing for T1? From something I saw about iNAV telemetry the flight mode is heavily encoded. You may need a script to decode it. Mike Numbers do agree with Inav wiki (see Tmp1) https://gith...

Re: Frsky telemetry from iNav - mAh values not correct

Now I see the importance of the mode order. Could you not add the flight mode names to the Mixer pages for the channel which controls the flight modes? Then it would be all in one place and this ordering would not be necessary. BTW, "T1=" shows the flight mode number coming back from iNav....

Didn't realize the flight mode number was coming directly from the radio. For my needs this is OK. So why is it always a zero? Re: Frsky telemetry from iNav - Fmd not displayed

Having solved the mAh issue from iNav, I am hoping Mike can throw some light on why the Fmd value is always showing as zero on the radio telemetry page. "Global" model limits?

I am setting up a model for an iNav plane. iNav expects all PWM values to be between 1000 and 2000.
Currently I have restricted the minimum and maximum on every used channel using the Limits page (-98/+98)
Is there a simpler way to achieve this via a single "global" setting for the model?

Frsky telemetry from iNav - mAh values not correct

I have recently installed a Matek 411-WSE in a sub 250gm wing which necessitated using iNav. I am able to view most of the FC telemetry by setting the Telemetry protocol to Frsky, but the mAh values are way out and the refresh interval seems wrong too. I tried clearing and adding the mAh sensor on t...

iNav telemetry via 9XR Pro / XJT / Bluetooth

My current build is using Inav so I was interested to see if telemetry could be displayed on the 9XR Pro. Up to now, I have been using Arduplane. It took some time to sort the wiring between the F411 the R-XSR, and iNav settings for the receiver and Smartport, but eventually I was able to show Fvas ...

Re: Receiver numbers

So if I have understood you, it is important to first manually assign the Rx#, e.g. 7, that you want to use in the model/protocol page and then bind. That number is stored somehow in the physical receiver until it is changed by rebinding with a different number. In this example, multiple models can ...

I am trying to understand the corellation between the Rx # specified in the protocol page for an XJT module and a physical receiver. Since it is possible to have a single XJT module and bind multiple receivers to it, what is the significance of the Rx# and how is it initially assigned and subsequent...

Managed to unplug/plug in the various connectors using some thin nosed pliers.

Re: 9XR Pro dead :(

All the connectors are out of sight, on the back side (where R9 is). The wiring harnesses seem short and I am concerned that if I just pull the board hard I may damage something.
Do you release the board via the front of the radio?

Fitting the Taranis gimbals was easier than this :)
