Re: 9XR Pro dead :(
Measure R9 on the RF module board, inside the radio of course, not inside the RF module :) it should read around zero Ohms, just like a short.. R9 is a current sensor, and normally is the first to blow if you short something. João Trying to get access to the front side of the rf module board to ins...

Re: Connecting BT module to XJT?
9XR Pro :) I am using X series receivers, so would use the S.port connector. I am making an inverter cable to plug in to the BT module which is already configured for 56k. Is the data output through the S.port connector the raw S.port telemetry data from the receiver? Do I need to configure any radi...

Connecting BT module to XJT?
Is it possible to connect a HC-05 to either the 3 S.port pins or the 4 serial pins on the rear of an XJT module? I have measured the voltage on both sets of pins to be 4.8v which is ok for my BT module.
If so, is it possible to pipe the Frsky telemetry data out through that connection?

Now at least we have a workaround for the RAM limitation by building a new folder on a PC to replace the original one.
Fortunately, the voice files are relatively stable.

I created a new folder on the PC and copied all the user voice files to it. Then I deleted the user folder on the SD card and copied the entire folder from the PC back to the SD card. Re: Voice files for 9XR-PRO with ersky9x
I recently came across some WAV files in an OpenTx script package, which include extra flight modes and other messages I needed, so I copied them to the user folder. I noticed that the stock WAV files were 16000 hz so assumed that the extra files which were 32000 would not work. To my surprise they ...

Flashing Frsky XJT firmware via 9XR Pro
Since I have been able to flash my receivers, I now would like to flash the external XJT module. I came across a reference to this how-to and would like confirmation that this technique still works as documented before I take the plunge. http://thrustworx.com/frsky-xjt-firmware-flashing-using-turnig...

Followed your instructions and selected Update SPort then applied 5v power to receiver when Finding device msg appears, but I also get
0087 4900 and stops. Green led is solid on receiver, no blue or red showing.

So 7-36v then.
In reality it is best to use any type of 3S battery so that the built-in 3S balance connecter can be used.

I want to flash the International firmware on to a new R-XSR receiver since it looks like my XJT module may be loaded with the FCC firmware and I cannot bind. Re: Combining flight modes with auxiliary function switches
More details are now available in Arduplane v4 docs.
Selecting a flight mode by RCn_OPTION and a switch, overrides the current mode. Switching off reverts to previous mode.
Any free channel can be used.
This is currently only available in Arduplane v4.0.

I increased the timeout to 4.5 and it has solved the problem. Any less and it gets worse.
In Ardupilot there is a way to prioritise telemetry packets, but it is done by group not individual items.

Combining flight modes with auxiliary function switches
With Ardupilot, it is possible to configure auxiliary functions on any channel using RCx_OPTION. Typically these would be controlling landing gear, camera trigger, etc. But they can also be used to initiate a flight mode such as RTL, Auto, etc. See: http://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/plane-auxiliary-fu...

Re: No telemetry from Matek F405-Wing
Turns out that the F405-Wing running Ardupilot cannot handle inverted Smartport telemetry from the X8R. So 2 options: 1) telemetry adapter cable e.g. C&T 2) use a receiver that can provide a non-inverted Smartport signal -- either by design or soldering a wire to a pad or existing joint on the r...

No telemetry from Matek F405-Wing with X8R
I have installed the latest Arduplane beta 4 on the F405-Wing. Arduplane 4 has new serial parameters to configure UARTs for Frsky telemetry. I have ersky9x-pa4r222 installed on the radio. Previously with a Pixhawk and C&T adapter cable this was working well using SERIAL5_PROTOCOL 10 on Arducopte...

RSSI radio values not matching GCS
I have Frsky X8R paired with the XJT module. The RSSI port on the receiver is connected to the SBUS port on the Pixhawk as per Arducopter docs (RSSI_ANA_PIN = 103). The hi voltage setting in Mission Planner (RSSI_PIN_HI) is set to 3.3v. For example, 1) radio shows a RSSI value of 90, but Mission Pla...

That is normal. The range check reduces the power to simulate a long distance.
Move the radio 30 metres away with the model about 1 metre above the ground Check the RSSI value, a safe reading would be 45+.
