Re: Model definition corrupt

I recall that at one point on Sunday the radio did not turn off when I activated the switch after a flight. I turned the switch on again and then off and the radio shut down as normal. I don't recall which model was active at the time, it could have been either. Perhaps that caused the problem. Thi...

All units for telemetry are different, if someone knows how to generate them for the Amber pack it would be nice!

"Device signature = 0x000102"

This signature is strange for me, is the connection OK?

Re: Any balpark timeline when 2.1 will be ready for the publ

Weeks. I will say even only one week.
I already converted all my models to 2.1 so I can tell you I won't introduce any other EEPROM change
I fly myself with 2.1 of course.
Now I really need your tests. Please open issues if you find bugs!

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

@diablol don't hesitate to check with the logic analyser, I am speaking about SPORT delays. None of the forks I tried answered correctly to the receiver polling! The result: you get duplicate sensors (each new ID received creates a new sensor ...) until the limit of 32 sensors is reached, it was ju...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

This telemetry update is getting more and more similar to the DCS (Distributed control systems) industrial systems I use to work. I/O configuration, ranges, alarming, etc... I think that there are a few things that could be missing like "data quality" (it could be probably implemented), d...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

and how?? It's the same than before, except labels which now are the same than the ones in your telemetry screen: For example: getValue("Alt") You can have max / min for all telemetry values with getValue(<label>+) and getValue(<label>-) For example: getValue("Alt+")

Re: D8 missing for my EU Taranis Plus

Are you German? Andreas asked us to provide a "special" version for DE market (to be ok with EU laws ...)
If you need the "standard" version, download it from OpenTX Companion, you will again have support for all receivers.

Re: Basic safety recommendations

Yes this is model dependant. Depending on the protocol it's even channel dependant.
And yes, people have to setup them properly depending on the hardware they use.

I set up all new and tried all versions again ;) 2.0.x Version with Kilrahs' modification if (lastRx == START_STOP && (data == SENSOR_ID1)) works best. Fast and with only once one duplicated sensor. lvales' version just ends up in overflow and bertrands has some problems with the update fre...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

@Mathias I just tried your new mavlink sport version. Unfortunately it seems that at least some values dont really update. e.g. heading needs far over 10 sec to update. Vario and Alt also. I hope it helps to find the issue. I didn't change anything in MAVLINK protocol / polling, just the FrSky SPORT...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

Right in 2.1 it's better to stop reusing "standard FrSky" IDs.
I don't know where I should open a pull request, there are some forks and I don't know which one is the most active.

I just pushed my mods here: https://github.com/bsongis/MavLink_FrSkySPort/commits/master Just have a look with a logic analyser, the difference between my branch and all other I tested is the delay between receiver polling and sensor answer, it's important to answer between 2 polls from the receiver...

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

Hi all, I just spent a couple of hours on the Teensy 3.1 board. There is a problem with the current implementation of the MAVLINK => SPORT conversion. It's important to use interrupts for SPORT protocol, a single read on the UART in the main loop won't allow a good synchro (especially with the 4byte...

Re: 3D Robotics and OpenTX

I was alerted by a french dealer some months ago, I saw the radio, I opened it and reviewed all menus to be sure it was OpenTX inside. Re: 3D Robotics and OpenTX

3D Robotics took OpenTX, modified it, kept the name (which is forbidden by the GPL) and didn't provide the source code anywhere (again forbidden). No donation of course, even if they raised 40M$ in funding. I was said it's not the first time 3DR steals ideas and code from open source projects. I sho...
