João,
Thanks for the detailed instructions! Installed it, plugged it in, and...wow.
That is absolutely, fantastic, amazing work. @mikeb (do @-mentions work here?), if you see this, thanks! Far easier than mucking about with a questionable PPM-to-USB converter.

Re: Getting ersky9x (r220) to work with Flysky SM100 USB adapter?
if you install one of the latest test versions of ersky9x, you don't even need the device you bought, as the radio can be recognized by the computer as an USB Joystick. Then just turn the radio ON, and connect the USB cable between radio and computer. But you need to update the firmware for that. W...

Getting ersky9x (r220) to work with Flysky SM100 USB adapter?
Hey folks, I'd like to connect my 9xr Pro to my linux laptop, so I grabbed an rc-to-usb adapter (one of these ). I haven't been able to get it do do anything other than produce a seemingly random stream of events. There are some posts here and there that suggest various settings, but I suspect they ...

Re: Ardupilot protocol choices for frsky telemetry
The initial version of the 9xr pro docs has merged and is now live @ ardupilot.org: http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-frsky-telemetry.html?highlight=frsky#turnigy-9xr-pro . In addition to updating the screenshots, there are also a few formatting fixes that I'll need to address. João, you were ...

Re: Ardupilot protocol choices for frsky telemetry
You need to connect to the radio either over the COM2 connection, or bluetooth if you have installed it. In either case, set the function for these to "LcdDump". My choices for "COM2 Func." (in the "Telemetry" menu) are: - Telemetry - SbusTrain - Sbus57600 - BTDirect -...

Re: Ardupilot protocol choices for frsky telemetry
Mike, thanks for the reply. Taking a closer look at the differences between the "standard" and "passthrough" protocols it turns out there's not all that much I care about, although I can see that there are values in which other folks would have interest (airspeed, rangefinder dis...

Ardupilot protocol choices for frsky telemetry
I have a 9xr Pro and a FrSky X8R receiver. I'm running a recent ArduCopter build and I have attached a craft-and-theory telemetry cable between my Pixhawk and FrSky receiver. It looks like everything is working at least for basic telemetry data (like lat/lon, altitude, etc). Reading through the Ardu...

Re: 9xr pro , YAW input when throttle up ?!
MikeB: Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look. Also, wanted to give a shout-out to Hobby King customer support. I wrote in asking if my transmitter (purchased July 2016) was still under warranty and what my options were for repair or replace. They asked for a video demonstrating the problem, wh...

Re: 9xr pro , YAW input when throttle up ?!
For what it's worth, I have exactly the same problem. I was trying to figure out why my quad wanted to spin CCW all the time without extreme trim on the transmitter, and it looks like both (a) the yaw value changes when then the throttle stick moves, and (b) the stick doesn't center correctly after ...

Re: Latching/holding a value on a channel?
I think my problem was that I had copied a mix and neglected to update the weight, which was set to -100%. Having a source of self and a weight of -100% caused rapid oscillating; correcting the weight made things work as described. Thanks for your help!

Re: Latching/holding a value on a channel?
Can you elaborate on that? I don't think a channel can use *itself* as a source (I tried, and the behavior was...weird). There is the "THIS" source, but that didn't seem to have the desired effect, either. If you can provide more details I'll give it a shot.

Latching/holding a value on a channel?
I would like to implement something sort of like a safety switch, but rather than placing a specific value on the channel I would like it, when activated, to hold the current value on the channel, ignoring further control changes. When deactivated, the current state of the controls would again be re...

Re: Will the Turnigy DSSS module work with a FlySky R6B receiver?
Reinhard, Thanks for your answers. It's hard to find accurate information regarding which protocols are being used by which receivers, so I appreciate this. If I am follow things correctly, the Flysky FS-RM002 module (http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Flysky-FS-GT3-Telemetry-Module-FS-RM002-For-2_4G...

Will the Turnigy DSSS module work with a FlySky R6B receiver?
I am trying to locate some receivers that will work *both* with the Turnigy DSSS module (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__62716__Turnigy_DSSS_2_4Ghz_Transmitter_Module_For_9XR_9XR_Pro_JR_Configuration_.html) and with a standalone transmitter like the FlySky CT6B (https://amzn.com/B00KHJ264...

Re: Constant beeping from FrSky XJT module
Mike, Thanks for the note. I had just found a message from you elsewhere (thanks, past Mike!) that got me sorted out w/r/t to the voltage telemetry, and in fact it does seem to have been an under-voltage warning; apparently the +5V on my Arduino was actually putting out +3.3V, which I found out afte...

Re: Turnigy 9xr Pro, XJT, X4R begginer questions
Since you have r217 installed, you have full support for the XJT module. The hardware supports the telemetry connection on the bottom pin of the module connector. Mike, Just stumbled across this via Google, and it has cleared up so much confusion. I was trying to figure out why I seemed to be getti...

Re: Constant beeping from FrSky XJT module
Kilrah, Thanks for the suggestions. Which telemetry value would have the receiver power supply voltage? I can see RSSI, TSSI, and SWR values right now. Adding TMOK to the display shows "1", which I guess means I'm getting "basic telemetry". As I understand it, things like Cvlt an...

Constant beeping from FrSky XJT module
I've recently acquired a Turnigy 9xr Pro along with a FrSky XJT module and X8R receiver. I am able to successfully bind the transmitter to the receiver: after binding and turning off/turning on both devices, the light on the receiver is green and I can control an attached servo. However, the XJT mod...
