Is this correct. EU build option. eu - Removes D8 and LR12 Frsky protocols that are illegal in Europe after Jan 1st, 2015 Note: For FrSKY transmitters the XJT module also needs to be flashed with its EU firmware to be EU compliant. FrSKY receivers will also need to be flashed with their EU firmware....

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters
Oops I see I already reported this but they haven't been addressed. How often will you update your documentation. While outstanding in the production/presentation we need them to be correct as well. I'm directing people to your documents from the OpenTX Manual Post sticky on this site and from the R...

The OpenTX Companion Section 3 Page 15 Lua - Enable the use of LUA scripts. Use of LUA scripts are outside the scope of this guide. Incorrect. Lua - Enables the Lua custom scripts screen. Similar to how noheli removes the heli CCP screen. Lua adds the custom scripts screen. The companion Lua mouse o...

Sad that they don’t just install the OpenTX project firmware build... instead of a modified version.

Re: Problem with X7S - could this be an OpenTX issue
Never uncheck hardware compatibility.
Flash again but check hardware compatibility. If there is a problem lets work through it.
Are you using an x7 companion profile.

Re: Firmware not loading to Taranis ?
Are you sure the original file name had noheli? Please try again by doing a fresh download. Also the number of pages depends on two options. Noheli will reduce by one page. Lua will increase by one page. If you select both you still end up with the same number of pages. Lua option is not needed to r...

Re: Firmware not loading to Taranis ?
I’m trying to get you to stop using Companion temporary. Put the firmware file on the sd card. Write the firmware using bootloader. Once we know this works then radio is okay. Try placing the OpenTX firmware file on the sd card In the folder called FIRMWARE Power of tx Pull in horizontal tabs and po...

Re: Firmware not loading to Taranis ?
Can you post a screenshot using file explorer the file name of the file you transfered to the sd card and then used the bootloader menu to write firmware?
Using windows file explorer locate the file in the firmware folder and take a screenshot.

I realize you want a solution. I’m trying to offer a workaround:) For the workaround does the file name have noheli in it? Anyone else have ideas on the cause and solution? Timer Count Down Value Change Requires Reboot
I’ve noticed that when the timer count down value is changed say from 6:00 to 3:00 it does not take effect till either a flight reset is done or a power cycle. Is this the correct behaviour or a bug? I fly with two battery sizes. When I changed to the smaller battery I reduced the timer but the coun...

A line or two about this in the manual could prevent people from toasting their radios.. If I add a hardware section then I will. There is a lot of stuff..... Exactly. My goal was an OpenTX manual not a radio manual. As you correctly pointed out there is a lot of stuff people may want to do to their radios so if its not OpenTX I'll probably not include it. There are other more general Transmitter manuals/resources which could...

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters
I think I’ll add a note in my documentation explaining not to rely on it and to do our own backups. I may create a GitHub issue. It would be nice to have clarity on expectations of that option.

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters
Please look at Section 3, page 15 Lua - Enables the use of lua scripts . Lua scripts are always enabled. This option enables the custom scripts screen which in turn enables us to configure mix scripts. Section 3, page 16 Backup folder - The location of where firmware backup files will be stored on t...
