Which protocol do i use?

Hello everyone,
I recently got the xjt module with x8r receiver, I have flashed my 9x with
vers:V1. 96-Mike
Date: 08.01.2016
SVN: er9x-r820

I have not installed the 9xtreme board nor the telemetry mod,
What protocol do use to enable only S.Bus?
PXX or S.Bus?
