Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

Yes the potentiometer can be replaced, if you can source it. When I determined that my issue (same symptoms) was indeed a bad potentiometer, I found a simalar potentiometer on Bangood and Alibaba. When I say simalar, I mean the resistance rating configuration. The pots in my 9xrPro are 20, 000 Ohm, ...

Re: RE: Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

Did you try calibrating your radio's gimbals? Please go to "Radio Setup / Calibration" select it, and follow the on screen instructions.. João Yes I did. But the right gimbal behaves differently in the upper and lower parts. Sometimes it sticks up and takes more time to center. Enviado do...

Re: RE: Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

As i said before, you cannot directly replace the stick pot with a AUX Pot. The "AUX" pot has all the 5K resistance over all its track surface, about 270 degrees. The stick pots have the 5K over only few degrees to each side from the center. How much depends on the radio and its stick trav...

Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

Hello. Glad to here that your replacement Tx arrived. In regards to your mod of the Tx case, do you put something on top of the cord and batteries to protect the backside of the Tx? I just received my Sherline, so work will proceed on my 9xrPro gimbal upgrade shortly. This kit I am developing will b...

Re: RE: Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

hey thanks bob! Yes i do mean a 250 size quad. I am using the cc3d revolution in both quads. Both have been setup and flown with my old 9x. Flight controller deals with calibration of esc's during setup. I understand what you are saying totally. After I got the radio i went back through the transmi...

Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

@jtroutt19...please keep this thread live with updates if any changes relating to this phenomena of gimbal response occur. Like I said in the beginning of this thread, it may only be a possibility that pots were/are failing. @jhsa...glad you came in. Was waiting for your input. But considering my ob...

Re: RE: Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

Lol...you have a backup board now, so now you can get crazy with mods to one of them. Looks like Hitech may be the only source for those replacement gimbals. Let me know if you find another. Robotshop.com prices them at $20 but are out of stock. Sent from my SM-P550 using Tapatalk I wonder if this ...

Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

Aurora 9 gimbals? I will have to check that out. I don't understand why Turnigy had to go cheap on the gimbals. The mold/casting has provision for 4 bearing support of the trunnion. This why the pots fail so quickly. Good luck with your replacement.

oh yeah. I have a regular 9x that functions just fine The bad news. Hobby King is out of stock on those replacement gimbals (three months ago). My local hobby store gave me a good deal his last Spektrum Dx7. But it does not have the programming capabilities or model versatility the 9xrPro has. I wi...

So, just to be sure. Ha e you flown the quad with another tx? Want to eliminate the possibility that there may be servo problems or binding linkage.

Ohm the pots wilst moving them with the sticks? If I remember correctly, these are 5k pots, 80 degree of swing.

Re: Wierd issue with right gimbal

It is only a possibility. The same happened to my 9xrPro. I disassembled it to confirm the potentiometer failure. I am working on a kit for this repair, but want to test it completely before I put it forward.

So I decided to fly my 250 around my house tonight and here is what I got going on. I've done calibration in the radio and Ive also done the calibration in my flight controller. Anyway the gimbal acts like its dead until I hit about 25% stick movement in any direction. Almost like its got expo setu...

For some reason the Avrdude does not launch (only an empty window appears) when using Eepesky to write new eprom to tx. Could this be caused by latest eePskye update? No issue with the 4 in 1 module yet, that I know of. The lights work, green on for power, red blinks till bind occurs. It binds with the rx every time I turn the radio on, (this is since the initial bind set up) without needing to use the bind button. Red light is on when bound. The servos go to the...
