FrSky FLVSS Individual Cell Voltages with 2 LiPo's

Hi, I found and old post detailing how to display lowest cell value, so I can set a logical switch and alarm on lowest cell reaching a threshold, rather than pack voltage, which could mask a problem. I now have a plane using 8 cells, 2 x 4 cell LiPo's in series. I have two FLVSS sensors, and have ch...

Thanks. Trying one last format, using a port in my printer, instead of formatting inside the radio via USB.

Re: Taranis plus - Problem with wave files and on/off switch

Update to my wave file problem. My original X9D bought in 2013 has the original 1GB SD card. It contains custom phrases like "Aileron Rates High" created in 2013. My new (second hand) X9D+ bought last month as a warranty return (binding issue, just had wrong firmware) has a 2GB SD card. Both have be...

Re: How can I mix a percentage of down elevator when throttle is is increased?

I use pot 2 on a spare channel e.g CH 10 to generate between 0% and e.g. 40% Then use special functions to set a Global Variable to value of CH 10 Then mix your elevator to throttle using the GV as the weight. Start the flight with pot 2 turned to 0% Then trim plane to glide under idle / no power. F...

QX7 work like that as on / off is push button but X9D+ is slide switch and just turns off with warning.

SOLVED - Taranis plus - Problem with wave files

Hi all, I just acquired a warranty return mint condition X9D+ for next to nothing because "It won't bind to a receiver" As I suspected, it had the wrong firmware in the internal module, so it binds perfectly. I flashed to the latest Open TX 2.2.3 version, formatted the SD card, and downloaded latest...

S6R Firmware issue - need EU / UK version of firmware.

Hi, Am looking to purchase an S6R from Hobbyking for use in UK. They only have the US version, UK version out of stock. I figured no problem, just purchase and reflash to EU LBT version. But when I look on the Frsky website, there seems to be no option to choose which version of firmware to download...

I use beep centre on my Taranis, but for QX7, we want it to vibrate only, not beep. Beep centre does both.

2 QX7 questions

I bought a QX7 a while ago to try out, liked it, but use my X9D for all my models. A friend has looked at both my radios, liked the QX7 and bought one. His model has a 3 pin port at the bottom right of the case that mine does not, what is this for? Secondly the default model had the throttle giving ...

How to play telemetry value at value intervals e.g. every 100 feet change in altitude

Is there an easy way to do this? When thermaling, I would like altitude spoken for every +/- 100 feet in altitude.

Agreed, my point is it shouldn't have let me do that. When you copy a model, it should generate a new model ID

Model ID issue

Hi, Discovered a potential issue with Taranis and X series receivers. If you create a new model, it allocates a new model ID, and if you try to change it you get a warning if you pick an ID already in use. BUT If you copy a model, and bind a new RX, you can quite happily bind to the same model ID of...

switch problem in FlySky with open TX

Hi, I had an original FlySky which I modded with sound and on screen Frsky telemetry. I passed this to a friend when I got my Taranis a couple of years ago. He went to use it for the first time this year (worked fine last year), seems the on/off switch has a problem. It needs to be turn on on and of...

You can't use instant trim and cross trims at the same time. Instant trims affects the wrong functions. I have asked for this feature several times over the years, without success.

RF-MFX720-JR Module Series Multi-Protocol Spectrum System with Taranis

Hi, Got one of the above to try out. I can bind to a spektrum rx, the lights indicate bind successful, if I turn taranis off and on, the rx starts a single flash indicating loss of signal, so they are talking, but no matter what I select in the taranis, I can't make any servos respond. Does anyone h...

Mixer question

In the mixer screen, where I choose the source, if for e.g.I want the throttle stick as the source, I have two choices, with a different icon to the left of the text 'THR' One is like a capital i the other might be a picture of the stick. What is the difference, they both seem to be the same. Robert

Re: Remember switch / pot settings bug ?

Hi, I have a follow up question now I have solved the above.

The Pot adjusts channel 9.

Then I have special function:

Adjust GV5 CH9

Seems I have to assign a switch to this, when what I actually want is this to be always on.

but ON doesn't seem to be an option.

Any clues?

Remember switch / pot settings bug ?

I have always found the remember switch setting extremely useful. I now have a mix where I am using a pot to control the amount of throttle to elevator mix. I want this position remembered as it will likely be different on different models. When I switch to a model, I get the switch warning, and a s...

Re: Full House E-Glider, Extra 3POS switch, Open9X, Phoenix 2K
