Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Small update. I did the battery packs with the protected cells. I had problems making those battery packs, because it was absolutelly not possible to solder in the positive of the cells. Negative was fine, but possitive not possible. Not even when sanding, not even with solder flux... Just a no go. ...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I suggest you try adding a resistor in the positive supply lead to the switch. Any value up to 5K should be OK, although I'd go for 1K to 2K if possible. You will very likely need to re-calibrate the switch. I have an idea for a firmware change that should, at least, restore the screen to your sett...

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Well, I have been testing and using some of those 18650 batteries with very good results. I think those batteries are lasting foreve, lol. Now I want to make the definitive pack. I have seen some people wires a balance plug, and some other not. Also some stock 2cell 18650 packs comes with no balance...

Then I tried with a 3.9k resistor I had, and still no luck with the screen resetting neither, BUT I can swtich the radio On with the 6 position s...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Hi; I have found some old photos that I took years ago. There you can see the six position switch. Sorry if the photos are not clear, but if better photos are needed I can open the radio and take some more. So I will buy a 1k resistor today. In which wire should I install it? Would it modify in any ...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Hi Mike I am experiencing the same glitch for quite a long time, with 9xtreme, and a 6 position switch. If I turn the 6pos switch slowly, there is no problem, but If I turn it from pos 1 to 6 fast, the reversed color screen changes to nomal (I use reverse as default) Video here: https://youtu.be/oNW...

18650 Batteries in the 9XR Pro

Hi guys, I am swaping my LIPO batteries to 18650s, and I wonder if it is possible to fit them in the 9XR Pro.

Would the radio work with just 2? And the most important part, can I just plug them in the radio? And in which pins? I am very afraid of reverse polarity problems.

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Lol, yes, that should not be a problem. If I were flying Id keep using the Lipos for sure, but it is not the case. I am too afraid of crashing for flying. I use only ground and slow vehicles; tanks. So the battery last long. For example with a 5.000 ish battery I have, it lasts for 5-6 hours of non ...

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Well, they have a hard metal case around them, but if mis-treated they can also explode. I don't like to charge any type of Lithium battery inside the radio, so I always remove them for charging with an appropriate charger and in an appropriate place, faraway from my house :) But I did return to us...

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Hi guys, after seeing a lot of videos of lipos exploding, and having two lipos puffed, I am beginning to be scared. I am planning to install some 18650 batterys. Are the Lion batteries safe? Or do I better stick with nimh?
Any link with a trustable source of batteries?

Thanks!

You dont need to connect it to the computer again (unless you want to) I grabbed my plain 9x with er9x and I took a look at it. In the protocol menu, where it says "Proto PPM" select "Multi" there. Then in protocol and type you need to select your receiver. Take photos so we can guide you with what ...

Re: Trouble flashing er9x with eePe

Hi Shad, Heng Long and Taigen will never work with any hobby grade radio. (except the new Taigen MFU that allows a hobby grade receiver to be plugged on it) Those things use some kind of propietary protocol. So they wont work with other thing but their own crappy controllers. The others should be ok...

Feels good! The vibrations are not super strong, but I think is strong enough, definitelly more than noticeable.
