9XR Pro with Jumper Hall Effect Gimbals

I apologise for reopening this long-dead thread, but I thought I would share my experience of installing Jumper Gimbals on my 9XR Pro with ErSky9x/ErskyTx. The Jumper gimbals the same Allegro A1392 Hall effect sensors that are used in the FrSky M9 gimbals and have ball bearings, but are more compact...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Hi Mike, Thanks for responding. I don't remember seeing any numbers on the bottom of the display. It just went straight to failed, but I have now managed to resolve my problems using the stock firmware, although it is a bit bizarre. If I create a new model and set up the protocol to dsm/9xr-dsm it w...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

Hi Mike, Last December I ordered one of the orangeRX telemetry modules for the 9xr pro. It's the one that uses the internal antenna. It arrived today, nearly a year later, having been on backorder all that time. I'd hoped that in that time they might have sorted the issues, but I found that it would...

Re: Drifting settings

Apologies for reopening an old thread, but I had a similar problem with my 9xr pro. On investigation I found that the flat metal spring clips that secure the pots into the gimbal had been inserted the wrong way round. These clips are made with a bend to force the pots to locate firmly. They should b...

Re: Open XVario lipo monitor

I'm honoured that you take the time to reply to my post Mike. Thank you. Yes, I saw in the code in voltage.cpp that you're reading the values twice. I'm new to the arduino and I wasn't really confident to modify Scott Daniel's code, so I just repeatedly called his readVcc() function. I can see that ...

Re: Open XVario lipo monitor

Yes, I knew that I would have to recalibrate the OFFSET & MVOLT_PER_STEP values, but having done that I get correct readings irrespective of the voltage supplied by the BEC. That's what I wanted. I actually found it was better to take a few readings of the VCC and average them out, otherwise I g...

Re: Open XVario lipo monitor

VCC variation errors - and a software fix for it. I built a potential divider using VCC as the voltage reference, thinking this would provide more accuracy. Unfortunately I find that there is some variation in the voltage supplied by my various BECs. This resulted in the same LIPO giving quite diffe...
