Re: 9Xtreme V2? Or Discontinued?

2x12mm screws would be a welcome addition- I had to rush out to the hardware store to get a few.

Perhaps OpenTx support??

Other than that, the 9Xtreme is pretty cool.

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

Thanks for the help! I've found using some 6BA, self-tap screws, 20mm long work well if the thread has gone. Unfortunately, 6BA screws are a bit hard to come by in the US. Do you think M2.5 or M3 screws will work? They are a bit easier to find. One useful piece of advice I'll repeat here. When putti...

The threads for the six screws that hold the 9X together are basically gone. My radio is being held together by duct tape!

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

Hi João, Thanks for the guide on how to install Taranis gimbals. I installed a pair in my 9x yesterday, and they are quite an upgrade from stock! I had a bit of a centering issue with the 9x gimbals (off by ~2.5% when returning from the far end), but these gimbals solved it. Not to mention they feel...

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

Sorry, I got busy, and didn't get to this test until now... Okay: I read the EEPROM from the transmitter just fine, and wrote a model to model slot 01. However, when I tried to write it to my transmitter, the operation got stuck at 3% for a very long time. It then gave me an "Operation Failed&q...

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

I'll get to it, as soon as I fix the battery holder- one of the wires came out of the balance plug. Oops...
I think I have tried this before, and it didn't work. I'll try to keep you posted.

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

I think so, and that would make sense. Would that be consistent with a slightly loose pin on the flash chip?
By the way, I got another 9Xtreme and it works like a charm. I want to figure out this one, though.

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

Okay, I'm back from Michigan, and I have put Mike's new test version of er9x onto the 9Xtreme. The 6 numbers are: 0 0 3 0 1 0

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, I am currently in college (I was in Spring Break in early March), and can't get to my radio at this time- it is in my house, 2000 miles (3200 km) away. I will try to figure this out when I can- which is likely going to be in early May, when the winter semester ends. I'll ...

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

I was using eepskye. It was able to pull the EEPROM data (?) off the board into a file. The file appeared blank, though.

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

Unfortunately, I don't have a soldering iron, and do not feel confident about fixing this. I will try to see if anyone can help me with this. Would it be possible for you to ship me a new one, in the meanwhile?

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

I may have found the culprit... I hunted around for bad solder joints, and may have found one on the underside of the board, on the Spansion flash chip. One of the pins is only very loosely bound to the board. It's the pin nearest the "N" in "SPANSION": 20160302_124648.jpg Do you...

Re: 9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

Yeah, it shows "Bad EEPROM" every time it starts. My computer also has some issue in which it cannot write the EEPROM properly- it reads just fine. Is there any way to fix this?

9Xtreme stuck on "SHUTTING DOWN: EEPROM BUSY"

I bought a SmartieParts 9Xtreme kit in late December 2015. I have just gotten around to installing it now. However, I ran into a problem: The radio does not turn off in the main mode! (It actually does power off in "maintenance" and "bootloader" mode.) Whenever I slide the power ...
