Re: Help with Heli setup

Thanks Mike, I have 220 already loaded in the ones here I am looking after, I was just making sure that there wasn't a new version out, that's fine.

Re: Help with Heli setup

Dropping this query into this thread, as it's probably better than creating a new thread. Is the latest firmware version for the Pro 220 or 221? I've just looked at the er9x site as linked above, and the page says it's 220, and 221 is mentioned above, the file itself is no help in that respect in th...

9XR Pro interface to use RCflightsim.com Clearview simulator

Have 9XR Pro transmitters using the latest version of the software, and we're wanting to get them working with Clearview Simulator to get our helicopter circuit techniques up to speed. Anyone any experience with making this work, and if you have, what are the options. We're have the option of FRSky ...

Heli sim for use with 9XR Pro

Ok, so we're making slow progress with the big Bell 212's that are being restored and converted from IC power to electric power, but the next hurdle is proving more challenging, and what we'd like to do is get a suitable sim package that will work with ER9x on the pro, so that we can become more com...

EEPE and Microsoft Edge, Smart filter blocking download

Just a heads up for people forced to use Microsoft products, especially Windows 10 and Edge, their wretched smart filter won't allow you to download the EEPE software from the Er9X site, the simplest way round it for now (it worked for me) is to use an alternative browser like Firefox. Edge won't ev...

Re: Search for Replacement 9x Potentiometers!

Thanks, I've since discovered the HK Daily video about them, and that they can be "teased" into a 9X, which is even more useful. as I have a couple of 9X sets that have to be sorted, sticks bad, and some Sky boards to go into them, so this looks like a useful way to go, as it gets rid of t...

Re: Search for Replacement 9x Potentiometers!

Slightly away from the direct issues of pots for sticks, but I was browsing Hobbyking last night, and the International warehouse has 3 axis sticks for the 9XR family that are using Hall Effect sensing for the position of the sticks. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__80303__Quanum_Single_St...

The joys of copy-paste. I kept copying the first line down to create the other entries. I must have left one in by mistake. Mike. Thought it might be, happy to be able to help avoid aggravations, I am guessing that you've more than enough to contend with as a result of the Google changes. Best rega...

Mike.
Perfect thanks.

There's one possible query, there seems to be 2 alternatives for the ER9X standard versions, the first line, and the 8th line down. Not an issue for me, but it might save some pain for others.

Cheers

Re: Where is the installer for ersky9x

Github is holding the source files, release binary files are at http://www.er9x.com/ . I'm still trying to find time to put a better web page up there. The binary files are already there, and the latest revision of eepskye (and eepe) from googlecode already looks for updates from there. Googlecode ...

Re: XJT, X8R firmware update using 9xrpro

To update the firmware on a SPort device, it must be the only Sport device on the SPort. This means you can only update a receiver or sensor if the XJT module is NOT plugged in. In addition, even the XJT needs to be external as it only looks for a possible firmware update request for a short time a...

Re: 9Xtreme Upgrade Board for 9x Radios

Not been in for a while, so this comes as a nice surprise. A leading question, how does the Extreme board compare performance and capability wise with the 9XR-Pro, or the performance of the Sky9x card that we had previously for the 9X. I have all 3 here, in varying numbers, and also now interested i...

Re: Alternatives to Hobbyking?

Clearly Hobbyking are having some issues with their European courier, SCS, as it's reached the point where the only way to resolve the issue with my order was for HK to issue store credit for the illegal VAT charge. They want me to also take it up with the UK VAT authorities, it will be interesting ...

Indeed. Ended up spending most of the morning trying to get my HK order out of the hands of SCS, at last, having deployed the nuclear option of a Paypal dispute, I seem to have got their attention, so hopefully, I will have the TX modules that I'm waiting for before too much longer. Time will tell, ...

I know, and it's worrying that the only supplier of most of the hardware we use is sailing very close to the wind. It would be nice to have an alternative that comes from somewhere other than Hobbyking.

Alternatives to Hobbyking?

Hi Folks, This is close to a rant, but there's a serious side to it as well. Are there any other sources of the Hobbyking hardware that so many of us are using? Re: Is there a "spare" Analog input on the board

jhsa, That's exactly the sort of idea I'm thinking of, having multiple switches that put a specific value into the transmitter, which will then provide a value to the arduino, which it can decode into the relevant on or off values, my thinking was to ignore the 1,2 and 4 bits, so that 8 upwards will...

Is there a "spare" Analog input on the board

Is there a spare Analog input on the board that could be used with a switch matrix to send multiple switches across to the receiver. I know we've mentioned this before, but it's starting to raise it's head again, and if there's a spare analog input available, it will save having to lose one of the e...

Hi Folks, It's not urgent, but I was looking at the locations for the source code of the different versions earlier, and either I've lost the plot, or there isn't a repository for the 9XR Pro version yet. Hi Folks, Have just finished setting up 2 Pro transmitters, they came with r202, and I've now got both of them running r204 with the updated voice files, and as far as I can tell, they are working, in that if I put servos on the receivers, they are moving with the movement of the sticks, so I've man...
