Re: Replace RS with momentary switch Taranis X9D?
I replaced one of the three position switches with a second momentary switch. Quite easy, a bit of soldering, and reconfigure OpenTX to recognise the new momentary. Would this help?

Re: S8R won't go into self check
Sounds like you have not set up the self check switch correctly, either way it looks a bit complicated, you don't need a curve. It shouldn't go into auto level mode, it does a distinct up/down movement on the surfaces a couple of times. Full instructions on setting the SxR can be found here in the "...

Check out the "How To Part 2" of this documentation. It explains in detail how to set up the S6R/S8R:

Once again Geoff you are incorrect. You've already made your points on another forum to which I have responded that it is clearly there in the documentation posted in this forum that you do not need the Companion to update. Check page 33 of the Horus section where it tells you how to update without ...

Re: Need Help With Time Alerts on Taranis Q X7
Why not use the momentary switch to call out the time when it is pressed? That way you can find out how long you have been up without an annoying callout every 5 minutes. I use this switch to give a range of telemetry readings at once, including the time elapsed.

I would also add:

Have you tried the link above? That smart throttle cut certainly works on a Horus X10 with OpenTX 2.2.3. Been using it for several years now.

Martin, If you have this logical switch working as you say, how much problem would it be for you to post a (EEPE?) file for downloading as a template? I (and other readers) could then import the file into a test model set up and see if I/ they can get it work. Jim While you have read through the Ge...

Re: Throttle cut using logical switch. (abandoned).
Basically this routine has no direct effect on the servo whatsoever. All it does is sets the throttle channel to -100 no matter where the throttle stick is. Then once switch E is held down for between 3 and 5 seconds AND the throttle stick is fully down it will enable the throttle stick to work aga...

Re: Throttle cut using logical switch. (abandoned).
Basically the OP wanted a throttle cut without using extra receiver channels, and wanted to do this using logical switches. My suggestion was to have engine idle set at about -80 and use a software throttle cut which would set the throttle at -100 and thus stop the engine.

Jim I have used this for several years on all my small models and it works fine, last used on Saturday. Just programmed it into Companion and again it works perfectly. Re: Throttle cut using logical switch.
Hi Jim Look at L02. You have put !L03 each time instead of L03. The ! in front means, L03 is not true. You might need to check everything, as sometimes ! is used and sometimes not. Its a bit annoying, OpenTX lists all the ! options before the normal options. You need to scroll down the list further.

Re: Throttle cut using logical switch.
Jim Have a look at my documentation on this forum. https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=8724 If you go to the How To part 1 section there is a throttle cut there. Not sure what you mean by no channels left, I presume you mean receiver channels, as there are loads of transmitter channe...

Re: Setting Trim values
Because I don't want the motor to stop when idling as when you are 3Ding the worst thing that can happen is the motor to stop and then the ESC takes a couple of seconds to start the motor back up again. You don't get that linear throttle response. Have you checked the settings on the ESC? Often you...

I presume you mean programming for the 6 axis accelerometer. It was never implemented by the programmers. I think there was some problem getting the data out of the accelerometer. It is still sitting there as one of the issues from May 2016.

You will have to use a separate channel and tx switch to turn the light on and off. Something like this:

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?
2.2 does a better job of conversion than 2.1 did. Sliders seem to be the only real problem, if you use a slider for flaps, check that function carefully. Thats what worries me ... i use sliders for crow brakes in 3 gliders..one of them even uses both sliders.. left for crow and right for camber/ref...

I believe that companion converts them? So, not a big deal? :) Yep. Although going from 2.0 to 2.2 there have been lots of improvements so there still is some manual work. Handling of telemetry changed entirely in 2.1. But everything related to model control is maintained, it's only "accessory stuf...

2.2 does a better job of conversion than 2.1 did. Sliders seem to be the only real problem, if you use a slider for flaps, check that function carefully. Basically, when I went to the X10 and 2.2, I converted all my planes (20) on the Companion, tidied up some of the programming to be a bit more con...

Re: Taranis X9D migrating 2.0 to 2.1/2.2 impact?
1. You will need to redo any telemetry as that is now quite different. However they sensors you have work fine. 2. Go straight to 2.2 not 2.1.Make a backup of your SD card and your models first. 3. The sounds are different. Copy your custom sounds onto the SD card after installing the 2.2 SD card fi...
