Re: OpenTX 2.1 released!

What a release! The telemetry overhaul, the channel preview and the input category selection are great! I mostly program my models on the radio and this is a big step forward for me. Some small problems and one bigger: 1. The variometer source can only be selected when there is live telemetry data. ...

Re: Module advice

As far as I know the xjt does the same now as the djt. When pxx is ready it will do more. I just ordered a xjt.

Just ordered the XJT for my SKY board, it was in stock :-) Would like to use PXX, especially for model match.
Does PXX also cover the telemetry data?

Re: Help neede: setting up EPA for Trottle +-150%

I got as low as 990us. And you can set the failsafe limit in APM. I did set it to 1030. And after that I adjusted the throttle endpoint to 1100. Works like a charm.

Yeah, it had been a while. Radio was working well and working on fpv quadcopter and a fpv wing. Both using MultiWii.

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

You cannot look at motor output if you are not flying. It will behave different on the bench because the error in the pid loop builds up. First get acro mode right. Then calibrate acc on the bench and try it in the air. The motors can be calibrated all at once with multiwii as you did, just check if...

Re: Is Mavlink data supported?

I use a arduino pro mini with the converter software for frsky. And a separate mavlink to my phone if I want. Works great. What I would like is better support for FrSky telemetry in MultiWii and Arduplane. Then I would not have to hack MultiWii and add an extra board to Arduplane. But that is for an...

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

I van turn my quads within a meter at speed. But I also use pitch and roll and a lot of throttle. Don't try that yet :-) What also could be the case is that you have vibration problems. Quads go jumping when they react on vibrations. They also have a tendency to "fall inside the turn". Usi...

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

The mag is used for stabilisation of yaw drift. And can be used with level mode. The level/acc must be calibrated. Place it level and click acc calib in the GUI or in the menu of the android app. There is a stock combi also. When still not right, you can trim it by disarming, full throttle, and usin...

Re: Global Variables in open9x

For me that was also unclear. Is there a possibility to add a trim or encoder assignment in the gvars screen? And add the function automatically from there.

There are more functions that could benefit from a more clear location. Such as volume control on sky9x, vario, telemetry log.

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

The P of 25 is very high and will counteract your sticks. Normal value is 4 or 8. With a rate of .8 it will compensate for it, leaving 20% of 25. Try low P values with high rates. Your rc rate is also low. Like this (0.5) you get half of normal response. I fly with 1.8 and a dual rate on a switch. B...

I don't think it is possible without changing the eeprom structure. One byte is used for mixer value. -125 to 125 is 251 values. Leaving 5 values for the gvars...

Pass through is only used for planes and means that it just passes the stick values on to the servos, so no stabilisation.

Head adj has something to do with the nose direction and return to home. So when you a GPS.

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

The jumping with throttle is not normal. Test without any throttle expo. It should be flying well, throttle expo should not be needed, it is only easier. I know multiple multiwii quads that fly without. A other cause could be vibrations, I had a quad that also could not hover normally. Was fixed by ...

[Sky9X] Rotary encoder

How can I use the rotary encoder to change inflight parameters such as dualrate and differential? I found instructions for the gruvin9x board, but cannot get them to work.
I'm also missing some menu navigation options. Such as long press to go back.

Re: Realvoice9x - for Open9x with SKY9x

Would it be a good idea to be able to install multiple voices?
By having a 9xvoices directory in the root. And in that folder you could put multiple voice folders. With a setting in the firmware with voice (name of folder) to use.
I think it would be a great feature.

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter

Hi, MultiWii flyer here :-) 1. Using the MultiWii configuration GUI or Android app (with bluetooth adapter) you can configure which channels are which modes. So you can easily assign the 3POS switch channel to different modes. 2. When flying a copter you often want to shutdown the throttle to let it...

Compiled revision 1670 and that works without problems.

Sticky throttle cut works, so I assume SWC and CH14 are working correctly.
The mixers that give problems have a flight fase asignment.
