Re: TBS Tango Radio
What firmware does that thing run? If it doesn't run something opensource, then to me it's not even worth considering.

Re: Being able to move curve points along X axis
Aha, so that's the reason! Makes sense
That's great news, I'll give it a go.
But so that means that, currently, er9x users are out of luck? Or is this portable/did it get ported to er9x as well?

Being able to move curve points along X axis
Sorry if I'm repeating an old question. I searched for this, but couldn't find anything. I'd like to create a roll/pitch curve for "super acro", being a setup with very high rates in betaflight. What I'd like to achieve is scale the curve down linearly, giving it a lower weight so that the...

Re: Flysky TH9X with 9xtreme board troubles
Is the CPU on the 9xtreme ESD protected or does it go directly to the output pins (for example on the external JR bay)?
I don't suppose there are any public diagrams available of the 9xtreme?

Re: Flysky TH9X with 9xtreme board troubles
There seems to be no end to the problems I'm having with my radio. :( I think I have the same or a similar problem as HCengic. Yesterday the radio was working perfectly. Today it no longer emits a PPM signal. Not on the external JR port on the back, and not on the trainer port either. However, conne...

Re: Channel input for copter lost alarm
Set up a logical switch using a timer. L1 time OFF 4 ON 4 L1 will be ON for 4 seconds and then OFF for another 4 seconds, and keep repeating it. Now create a mix on the desired channel. CH8 100% FULL Switch L1 Slow (u 3 :d 3) The channel is triggered by the logical switch but it will take 3 seconds...

Channel input for copter lost alarm
I want to use one of these tiny aircraft lost/finder alarms, like http://www.banggood.com/SKYRC-Anti-Lost-Alarm-Signal-Loss-Alarm-Lost-Aircraft-Finder-p-950884.html I connect the thing to one of the spare analog pwm channels of my receiver. In the mixer, I tried passing a constant low, half and full...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
I upgraded the bootloader using the maintenance menu, with a freshly compiled ersky9x bin on the SD card, and that solved my problem. At first I was a little confused as to whether the bootloader code was integrated inside the firmware bin file, or whether it was a separate file (eg. the lbm file). ...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
When I power on the remote with both trims inwards I get a purple-pink background but no text on screen. I thought this menu was the same as what you get with the USB lead plugged in (9Xtreme in the middle of the screen and the version in the bottom) and that I could unlock it after fiddling with th...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
You access the SD card either in bootloader mode over USB (which you are having trouble with), or by removing it from the 9Xtreme and plugging it in to the PC directly. If you do the latter, you may at least copy new firmware to the \FIRMWARE directory, then replacing the SD card, then using the bo...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
I can get the STM bootloader to show up on USB. Sometimes it requires me to try a different USB port, and it's a bit tricky and requires a few tries sometimes. However, I am having trouble to get any of the other USB modes to work, like USB joystick and the 9xtreme bootloader mode. I always get &quo...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
Unfortunately I have not been able to make the USB joystick feature work in a stable way anymore. I really wanted to continue playing Liftoff with the 9X, so I decided to build a separate USB dongle to connect to the trainer port. I built a PPM2USB dongle (http://thomaspfeifer.net/ppm2usb_adapter_en...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
When this is in a stable enough state, this "MAVLINK over FrSky" bridge could probably be integrated into APM directly. Currently, you can already configure your serial port to output FrSky serial data for a pixhawk, it's probably possible to add a "MAVLINK over FrSky" option. Th...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
When you say the bootloader is not working until after it "rests", do you mean the radio won't start in the bootloader, or thereis no response to plugging the USB in? The second. The radio keeps working fine, it's just the USB connectivity that lets me down. When the radio is powered off,...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
It might be something else that's gone wrong. I could get it to detect the device in bootloader mode (connecting to usb without power on). But turning it on and connecting to usb, results in the device not responding errors. What's more, after a connection attempt with the transmitter powered on, th...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
For those that use their 9xtreme as an input device for simulators, I kind of discovered that the USB connector is not meant to endure the stress of a wire for prolonged periods of time. The connection started to break intermittently, but it wasn't until the micro USB connector snapped off the pcb t...

Those telemetry screens look significantly different from what I see with ersky9x Is that intentional? Or can I get them to look similarly? Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
FPV Freerider is also built with Unity, but in fact I find its calibration routine very robust. I also just found out that you can change Liftoff's controller settings manually in a text file, if you're having trouble doing it via the GUI. Edit the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
Try configuring all four control mixes that they output from 0 to 100 and not -100 to 100. Like this: CH1 50% Rud Offset 50% That worked all right! :) I changed the output settings for the channels on the remote (made a separate model preset for it) to crop between 0 and 100 I then recalibrated the...

Re: 9XTREME W/Freerider or Liftoff
I was successful in using the 9Xtreme USB joystick feature with FPV Freerider on Linux. It simply worked, just follow the calibration steps, and done. I did this with a very simple mixer setting, basically adding the 4 stick channels, all other settings pretty much default. Now I tried using it on W...

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X
I was unhappy about the gimbals in my Turnigy 9x. Especially the yaw did not come back to center properly when pulled in one direction. I know that I could probably have solved by solving the free movement on the pot, but I decided not to bother with it and go for some Taranis gimbals instead. Much ...

I still have to run the tests Mike asked for, but I did notice that the behaviour changes slightly with an SD card inserted or not. Mainly I noticed that when going into bootloader mode, and turning the remote off again (no usb cable inserted), that there is a delay of a few seconds before the backl...

USB bootloader and connecting to eepskye
I had a bit of trouble getting eepskye to recognize my 9xtreme board, but after some experimenting I found how to get it working. As this process was not that straightforward, even after reading instructions found on this forum, and because I found I had the execution of the exact steps to be critic...
