Mix to pot question.

When I program "pitch trim" pot to control flap channel - it works OK, but when I try to also mix it to elevators (so they offset ballooning effect of flaps) elevators behave erratically and jump to different wild positions with pot rotation. I kind of found a workaround by using a mix wit...

Re: What battery voltage is safe?

I actually ordered this LiFe and a charger yesterday, so I will switch to it as soon as it comes. You guys convinced me. Doesn't cost much more than using AAs, and I needed charger anyway because all I have was small Art-Tech charger that came with my Mustang, which is called "balance charger&q...

Re: What battery voltage is safe?

I'm just using AAs from Costco - I don't fly much, and around $12 for 48 AAs (I think) is not bad either :-) But you made a good point, I'll consider LiFe.

Re: Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

Well, it's $5 plus probably $10 shipping and I have to solder to CPU legs... I don't want to mess with it just for slowing flaps, but I understand the appeal.

Re: What battery voltage is safe?

Thanks, but I guess I wasn't clear enough: I want to run on AA. I'm just asking when I should replace them with new ones, at what voltage indication. I'm not interested to switch to lipo yet. So are you saying stock warning is high enough that I won't have to worry about loss of contact or diminishe...

Re: Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

Is $5 really too much? Even to go from a $50 radio to the equivalent of a $1000 radio? I'm a newcomer to this forum, but wiki here says that $45-$50 programming hardware is needed to do this, not including shipping. If I could get ability to flash firmware for $5 with shipping I would for...

Re: Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

Have you tried the SLOW option in the mix? Mike. I'm on stock firmware. Can't justify buying additional hardware to change firmwares. Stock should be good enough for me, even if I can't make slow flaps :-) I'm a relative beginner, stepped up from basic 4ch non-programmable radio. This seems huge! S...

Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

How can I program servo slow on 3-position switch flaps? I have managed to program 3-pos flaps nicely (slaved to gear channel as advised on this forum), but I'd like them to expand slowly and not jumping around. If I just switch plugs, how then to assign new channel to throttle lever if ch3 is used ...

What battery voltage is safe?

I'm on stock firmware and stock AA battery holder. LCD shows 11.1V on fresh batteries. Is it normal? Will it beep or warn me when batteries become low? What's the safe operational voltage and when should I replace my batteries?

Thanks.

Re: Main switch and backlight

Remove the heatshrink around the little wire harness/PCB the backlight came with and check for shorts. It seems a large number have manufacturing defects (solder blobs shorting pins). Several people have burnt their radios because of that already... You were dead on! First two red wires (opposite t...

Main switch and backlight

I've installed a $5 blue backlight mod. But it works in a weird way. When main power switch is ON - it lights up just fine, then when I slide main switch towards OFF position, somewhere in the middle radio and backlight switches off, but in the OFF position backlight turns on again!!! So basically w...

Can't program both End Points

I just received my 9x yesterday. There is something I can't figure out: When I go to E.Points setting, there are two columns of percentage settings, but I can only go through one of the two percentages for every channel. When I click up or down buttons it jumps through one setting - usually just in ...
