I'm just using AAs from Costco - I don't fly much, and around $12 for 48 AAs (I think) is not bad either But you made a good point, I'll consider LiFe.

I'm on stock firmware and stock AA battery holder. LCD shows 11.1V on fresh batteries. Is it normal? Will it beep or warn me when batteries become low? What's the safe operational voltage and when should I replace my batteries?
