Re: SBUS does not work

Hi, I interestedly read trhough this thread and all the provided "side" threads from the posted links, as I'm setting up my first model with a FrSky S.BUS decoder. It's a 4 meter wingspan glass fiber model with a 10 servo assigments aerobatic glider (Lunak). I was planning to use decoders ...

Re: Can this FLVS-01 be fixed?

I think that may not be a residue from the sticker anymore. Maybe it has been covered with a (electronic) lack. And that what rperkins said on previous post makes lots of sense. That kind of checking would be good. The MCU may have took a damage when reversing the polarity (been there, done that man...

Re: Can this FLVS-01 be fixed?

Yes indeed. No obvious reason can be seen. I would start by going through joints of pin header with the iron and see if that does anything.

Re: Speaker Replacement

I did this too a sometime ago already. Sound is a lot better than any of those previous speakers. Also radio volume can kept so low now, that it has made this annoying buzz go away. Still the voice can be heard loud and clear. :)

Thnx for the tip, Scott!

Re: [Solved] Upgrading S.PORT device firmwares (X8R)

How I powered? I'm not sure if I understand correctly but... of course it was USB powered. :D I had FUC-3 connected to external USB-HUB 2.0 (active) and that was connected to SPC and from there to X8R S.PORT. Computer were our clubs desktop computer. When ESC was connected to receiver and SPC attach...

Re: Can this FLVS-01 be fixed?

Hi, Have you measured all the traces from the PCB between the components with conductive measurement? I have had two times a situation where a device has been plugged in with wrong polarity and there hasn't been any signs of burned components, but still the devices did not work anymore. Each of thes...

Re: [Solved] Upgrading S.PORT device firmwares (X8R)

Just a minor correction to what Kilrah wrote. I just tried to upgrade one receiver which is on the electric plane. The sport upgrade application did not find the device and ESC beeped continuously. I disconnected ESC from X8R and tried again. That worked, so servos can remain to be attached.

Re: [Solved] Upgrading S.PORT device firmwares (X8R)

Just a quick question...

Can receiver firmware be updated even that it has all wires attached in it? Of course it has to be un-powered and S.PORT connector needs to be useable for attaching the SPC, but does it do any harm if other wires remais attached.

Re: Taranis - speaker buzz

Yes it increases by the wav or main volume, but with new speaker these can be kept quite low and you can still hear the voice clear and loud. Also I noticed that when volume is lower the backlight doesn't flicker anymore in the rythm of sound. So, I think it's definitely the power distribution which...

Re: GVAR adjustable timer value

Hi, Does this do the trick? I cannot test it on my radio now, so that's why I'm asking beforehand. Will test tomorrow. Use some switch to start and potentiometer to change timer value. CS1 TIM 0.5 0.5 CS3 :Make a pulse on every sec., if timer is not zero and it's on last minute. CS2 TIM 0.5 59.5 CS4...

GVAR adjustable timer value

Hi,

Is it possible todo somehow...

I want to adjust GVAR with pot for example and use that adjusted value for countdown timer start value? So, I could have different mission time for each flight (different capacity of batteries for example and etc).

If it's then how?

[QUESTION]: is there way to lock buttons of Taranis?

Hi,

The topic has it all. Is there a key combination or any other way to lock down the buttons so, they don't get pressed accidently while flying? If not then another question... should there be? At least some party are asking for this.

Did you use same battery? Different batteries can affect by its efficiency to give the needed power. I have the same Falcon Wing (for two years now) and I'm using Turnigy 3010B motor (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14736__Turnigy_L3010B_1300_Brushless_Motor_420w_.html?strSearch=3010B) wi...

Re: Upgrading S.PORT device firmwares (X8R)

Problem solved! I measured SPC once again and noticed that there was no connection from FUC-3 TXD to anode side of the diode. The reason was no my soldering. It was the bread board used. Each hole is daisy chained together and there was one 'link' broken. Even that it looked fine by looking at it, t...
