ER9X Radio as "Student" in Buddy Box Setup
I've seen the guides on how to set up an ER9X radio as the "Teacher" in a buddy box setup, but what if it's going to be the "Student" radio with something like a DX8i? Is all the programming still going to have to be on the main radio (i.e. Rx bound to it, too)?

Re: MCPX spare parts
Ack, you beat me to it. I had just ordered 2 lots of v929 gears on eBay. You can get 4 for around $5USD--that's still less than the cost of two mCPX gears...granted, they're coming from China.

Re: MCPX spare parts
Since it's already here, good idea moving this from our PM's :P ...but it probably would be best if you hit up the mCPX forum on helifreak.com, too. You'll find me there, hehe. One thing I shared with rperkins was my recycling of main gears. For simple hover drills, putting a dab of CA on the main g...

Re: FS-TH9X Firmware
They know the DX6/7 radios work and work well. That's why they want you to get it. They know how to program them and troubleshoot. I go into mine with my 9X radio and some are even jealous once I show them what it can do. If you can get a DX6, then go for it. If you already have a 9X and are ready t...

Re: Stock Firmware - For Flashing
Thanks Kilrah. I forced myself to just learn how to use ER9X and haven't looked back since. It took me a while to wrap my head around everything, but now I'm glad I did. I love sticky throttle hold!

Re: Bind mCPX to 9x Radio
Weird. I kept seeing that people who had problems binding held the rudder to the right during the bind process. What took me a bit to figure out was when they would do that step. As for the additional stick input step, it's in the manual for both the computerized radios like the DX6i and non-program...

Bind mCPX to 9x Radio
I couldn't find this anywhere else, but since I finally figured it out, I figured I'd share. The binding process as written in the manual requires a slight modification, but basically you follow the steps for computerized radios. Once you have your setup ready (at the very least, have the first 4 ch...

Re: Adjusting/Setting/Toggling Gyro Gain...easily
It's usually the opposite - the ability to set the gain remotely is mostly useful to find that suitable gain setting without having to fly, land, change, fly, land, change... Then once it's OK you can freeze it. Yes, I figured that part, but I mean should I eventually switch to a fixed value or wil...

No controls with r769 release
Anyone else lose functionality with r769? My servos reset to center, but inputs don't register (i.e. no motor spool up or servo movement). Ended up going back to previous release so I can fly in the morning. Ironically, I'm wide awake and can't sleep because of that! (lol)

Adjusting/Setting/Toggling Gyro Gain...easily
Thanks to countless threads and posts from many of you here, I've finally managed to wrap my head around ER9x to successfully setup my 450 except for the gyro gain portion...I think. I figured that before I can even make my real maiden flight tomorrow, I'm going to want to be able to dial in my gyro...

Re: Stock Firmware - For Flashing
I'd like a copy of the original FlySky firmware. Not sure if I'm missing something when I flashed the original Turnigy firmware, but my rudder. aileron, and pitch sticks do not seem to be neutrally centered based on what I'm seeing on the graphs on D/R screens (e.g. rudder at neutral is showing a sl...

Re: FS-TH9X Firmware
I hate doing this, but considering the topic is right for it, I was wondering if anyone has the original FlySky firmware and not the Turnigy one that's posted on here.
