Re: Your best loved open9x feature.
I think I'm going to love mass storage ;) I really like the menus in general; one of the main reasons for me to go back to open9x after trying ersky9x on my sky board. Very clean layout, everything is nicely aligned, and the "bold switches" feature Rob mentions helps a lot when setting up ...

Re: SKY9x Ver 3.0
Looking good! About the SD card, would it be possible to make it accessible through the DIN cable when the board is in USB mode? If there is a software solution for this, the hardware wouldn't have to change and people could still opt to cut a slot in the 9x case for easy removal if they want, or up...

SparkFun camera
I'm not FPVing (yet ;)), but here's a camera which might be interesting: HackHD - 1080p Camera Module According to them: The HackHD is essentially a stripped-down GoPro. It can do full 1080P at 30 FPS, run from a battery and is easily controlled from a microcontroller. It's got a wide-angle lens and...

Re: Building open9x for ARM
Thanks, but it didn't solve the issue I'm afraid. Interesting though that you had similar issues; do you remember whether you changed anything else (upgraded your build tools for example) around the time it got fixed?

Building open9x for ARM
I've set up a GNU ARM toolchain as per these instructions, providing me with the arm-none-eabi-gcc and related binaries. I can build open9x, flash my ersky board using companion9x/sam-ba, and run it. However, when I use the 9x using a binary I built myself, there appear to be random key entries; it'...

Re: New custom switch functions
Would it be possible to add something like "v==ofs"? Or maybe what I'm trying to do can be accomplished through other means: I'm trying to play the value of Timer2 every minute, so "2 minutes", "1 minute" etc. I can use "v<ofs" with V1 being Timer2 and V2 bein...

Re: ERSky Voice Files
Can I ask which tool you used to generate those files? I'd like to use these files with open9x on the ersky9x board, but open9x has more files than the ones from this voice set, which I'd like to add.

Re: New features provided by open9x
cannot get my system to play a Welcome or startup sound. What file is supposed to be played at startup? I don't get a startup sound either (ersky9x board + open9x), not sure whether it should play something. Does anyone know? What file is supposed to be played when the inactivity alarm goes off? Wi...

Re: Voice on open9x / ersky9x board
Also i checked your files and the second file only contains the word battery. Ok could be, I just played the file "9XSOUNDS\lowbat.wav" in open9x, recorded the result using my phone, and posted it here. I'm not at home now so I'd have to double check to make sure, but I think It's the att...

Re: Voice on open9x / ersky9x board
The combination of the ersky9x board and the open9x voice files doesn't really work for me; I've recorded the ersky "battery low" sound and the open9x "low battery" sound as played by my ersky9x board, both from the same SD card: ersky9x_battery_low.mp3 open9x_low_battery.mp3 I'm...

Re: Sound and Telemetry using the ERSKY board
Nice, I've got some Pro Mini's, could try that :) I assumed the PDF described the format the Hub sends to the receiver, or am I mistaken? For example: Frame1 ①Three-axis Acceleration Values, Altitude (variometer-0.01m), Tempature1, Temprature2, Voltage, Current & Voltage (Ampere Sensor) , ②RPM e...

Would it be possible to buy the board without the GPS module? I'm not interested in GPS (yet at least), and I assume it'll lower the cost by quite a bit?

Re: Sound and Telemetry using the ERSKY board
The resistor "sensor" works like a charm by the way! Tested with a lab supply, after setting a 0.2V calibration in open9x (might be due to my 5% resistors, didn't have the matching 1% ones around) the difference between my lab supply display and A1 telemetry reading is never more than 0.1V...

Re: Sound and Telemetry using the ERSKY board
Probably not :) That's why I said I should get an external sensor in between the LiPo and the ESC (instead of using the internal sensor by applying the LiPo's voltage directly to the receiver). That would work, right? Or maybe just like this: LiPo+---[10K]---|-------------A1+ \---[3.3K]---A1- This w...

Good point, I do connect the receiver to the ESC. According to the receiver's specs, it can handle 10V max, so I should probably get an external sensor in between the LiPo and the ESC/BEC. Thanks

Re: Sound and Telemetry using the ERSKY board
Yes it's this combination (DJT-II in combination with D8R-II Plus). Are the RSSIs by any chance called "Tx" and "Rx" in the Telemetry setup? I've set up my Telemetry main screen to show A1, A2, Tx and Rx; A1 stays at 5.02V (though it drops to 4.94V or so when I move a servo, and ...

Sound and Telemetry using the ERSKY board
Today I've received my ERSKY9x board, and since I'm used to open9x I flashed it straight away. Works great in general, but I've got a couple of issues: I've inserted a microSD card (8GB class 10) on which I put the sounds from this topic. When playing those sounds through the menu, it seems to play ...

Timers and switches/mixes/trims
Very happy with open9x so far! One thing I don't get though: 1. In the MIXER (5/9) menu, I bound the throttle output to a channel (3 in my case): [tab=30]CH3 Thr 100 2. In the FUNC SWITCHES (9/9) menu, I set up a new switch like this: [tab=30]THR SafetyCH3 -100 [x] 3. Then I set up a timer in the SE...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
Got my 9x last week, running open9x now but the ERSKY9x board looks very interesting! I do have a couple of questions: 1) I'm currently using the FrSky DJT module (the external one which replaces the Turnigy module, not the internal DIY version) without any mods, so I don't have on screen telemetry ...
