Did I miss something? He says his speaker is connected to the speaker port on the G9 board. That should just work, sound options in the menu not withstanding.

Re: gruvin9x board no buzzer in opentx

Please see my reply PM. If it's the G9X 4.x board, then you just need to wire your speaker to the speaker socket, instead of where the piezo used to be. You can put the piezo back if you still have it. Then you can have loud beeps for some things (say alarms) and the speaker for others, like trim-up...

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

When you use companion (or eepe), you set the path to avrdude in the configuration. That one had me fooled for a while, more than once. It's under Settings / Configure Communications . Same place you select which programmer hardware you have. Default is C:/Program Files (x86)/OpenTX/avrdude.exe, on...

I saved a draft of a more lengthy reply, but stuffed if I can find out how to get to that. God I hate stupid forum software ... :/ Anyway ...

It should work find with Companion. What exactly is not working?

If you start a new thread, please email me the topic URL.

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

@Koarl -- can you post the AVRDUDE command used to read the firmware from the radio? Thanks. I looked at the BIN dump from your radio (t9xread.bin) radio and compared it to the .HEX file you provided above. There appears to be no correlation what-so-ever. In fact, the data from the radio (t9xread.bi...

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

I tried to flash with epee cause it seems I got something wrong with console but epee won´t let me copy the output. Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

No one ever told me that the eBay USBASPs used an m8. :-/ How odd. I always just assumed they would use the same chip as the original author of USBASP -- the '88. D'oh! @Koarl -- And yeah .. DO NOT EVER USE -F unless you REALLY know what you're doing. And OMG ... I put it in the code I sent you. D'O...

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

Some random notes ... I did some checking. It's not the 128K boundary. It was all 64K boundaries. So apparently, the original USBASP firmware will not work with any code that crosses the 64K boundary. I have attached firmware for the ATmega48P and the '88P versions of my gProg (USBASP) firmware. I m...

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

What you say sounds reasonable, but I already reflashed the programmer. But it's possible that I hit the wrong FW. You hit the wrong firmware for sure. The following is the exact symptom you get with the buggy USBASP fw ... avrdude: verifying ... avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte ...

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing

Got your email. Sorry, been super busy. Most USB ASPs (if not all) from eBay and elsewhere have buggy firmware, preventing them from flashing ATmega chips with more than 128Kb correctly. I tried a couple times to contact the USBASP firmware author with the fix, but did not succeed. So, most likely I...

Good point. Have to admit, I did struggle when I wanted to invert the switch sense. A curve like that would have been painless. You may have converted me! ;-)

Re: We [don't] need FULL back in the mixer

Pardon my ignorance if I'm going to say something stupid, but couldn't you just program a curve with the middle point and one of the ends at 100%, or -100% depending on what you want? Or didn't I understand what is required here? ? João Sure. I think that would work, too. Thanks for the suggestion....

Re: We need FULL back in the mixer

Right! I did however forget to say that one needs to set weight to +200 (with offset -100). Otherwise we only get -100 and 0, still. In summary then, to force a three position switch to only ever output -100 or +100, essentially ignoring its centre value ... [tab=30] Source: SB (for example) [tab=30...

Re: We need FULL back in the mixer

Hmm indeed, gives 0 or 100. A new source might indeed make sense for the 3-pos switches. Need to find a clean way to do it then. Oh ... that's interesting. I just edited my reply above to say ... Ah! Yes it DOES. Sorry. Well there it is then. A perfectly reasonable solution. Set source to a 3-pos s...

Someone didn't actually read my post (or I wasn't clear) ;-) That does not work as required with 3-position switches. It does, just need to set the offset in the input. No, it doesn't. EDIT: Ah! Re: We need FULL back in the mixer

I haven't been using openTx 2.x, but for r2940 you could define a custom switch as: CS1: AND !SA^ !SA^ then just use CS1 as the mixer source. Mike. Ah. That may well work. Thanks. EDIT: Alas, "LOGICAL SWITCHES" (custom switches) are not available as sources on the Taranis. If they were, t...

Re: We need FULL back in the mixer

I may have found a solution, of sorts. I'm not sure it it will work in all cases I would need, but it is at the moment. Example solution as follows ... MIXER -- CH8 Source:MAX Weight:-100, Switch:SD^ SERVOS -- CH8 Subtrim:+100 This works if all you need is the servo (or PPM output) to swing from -10...

We [don't] need FULL back in the mixer

RESOLVED: We found a relatively simple way to get the same results, without the need for FULL. Details in future post , below. Howdy Some time ago, back in the '9X radio opentx firmware days as it were, someone thought it wise to remove FULL as a source from the mixer, in spite of my protests. Well...

@Kilrah -- the USB drivers in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are already present. I never used Zadig before to make this happen. I did it manually. But I already use dfu-util for other STM32 projects, without issue -- on the Windows 7 and iMac native machines, at least. I have now realised that my Window...

Re: Is the Taranis for everyone

I don't like the wizard idea -- especially not on the radio itself. [rant] I don't see any reason why people can't just read a screen from left to right, top to bottom, without having to wear out their Next buttons. Microsoft invented Wizards. Why on Earth did others copy? *sigh* But I digress. [/ra...
