Upgraded Turnigy 9X and Rxs for sale
Serious illness is forcing me to liquidate all my RC equipment. I am offering a fully modded Turnigy 9X with the 9Xtreme upgrade board, ERSky9x software, Frsky Hall effect magnetic gymbals, Frsky DJT module, 4 additional switches added to back of case, and 9 Frsky V8FR non-telemetry receivers. Re: Frsky micro 8 channel Rxs
Just a little note, They ARE NOT original Frsky receivers. They are compatible receivers..
João
That's correct. Thanks for catching that.

Frsky micro 8 channel Rxs
Frsky micro Rxs work with the DJT modules. NO TELEMETRY. I bought these to use in small park flyers and planned to solder standard servo pins but the signal pads are too close for standard pins. These sell on Banggood.com for $7.15, I have 4 and will sell them for $6 each. https://www.banggood.com/2...

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation
I spent some extra money (extra money is something we all have, right? ) and got better switches. Much better response and MUCH better feel to my finger tips. I had to settle for the one odd yellow since the store only had three reds. Life is tough!

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation
New question regarding my newly installed switches. Checking in the DIAGSWITCHES screen all switches respond immediately when pressed, but applying the switch to a mix I must rock the switch button to get any response. I used the same type of switches as shown in Joao's photos. Do you think I need b...

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation
João, I am intrigued by your installation of the 4 buttons on the back of the case and now that I've successfully installed the M9 gimbals, adding the buttons is something I'd like to attempt. My main question is, what do you use them for? I love the cool factor of having them and the fact that Ersk...

Re: Stock/er9x Rotary Encoder
I have a question for the experts here. I recall that on the original stock firmware of the Turnigy 9x one of the pots (P2 I think) was able to be used as a sort of rotary switch for scrolling through the alpha/numeric menus. I see all the rotary encoders you all have installed as beyond my level of...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
No, my wires aren't too short. I desoldered the wires from the original gimbals and spliced them to the wires of the new gimbals so if anything they are long and I stuffed them into open gaps in the Tx body. Now with the ratcheting set for throttle I did set it to be fairly light so I have smooth mo...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
I think I may have eliminated the problem or at least reduced it. I switched from the smooth friction to the ratcheting hold on the throttle stick. Calibrated again and the Not In Safe Position warning only happened once scrolling through all my models several times. And, very happy that while I was...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
I recalibrated several times, just touching the stick to the bottom limit like you suggested, with the same result. What about setting the throttle trims all the way down on every model? Think that will fix it?

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
I have just noticed something odd after my installation. I corrected the reversed sticks as required and I have calibrated the travel but when switching between models I get the Throttle Not In Safe Position warning unless I put back pressure on the throttle stick. If I just just leave the stick usi...

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
A big thank you to jhsa and Bob for your guidance. My gimbals are in, working and calibrated. Now I'm just waiting on Hobbyking to send my Frsky DJT module and receivers to replace the stock module. That looks like it will be a much simpler project.

Re: FrSky M9 gimbals in a 9x - photos (traffic!)
Hi Andrew, After reading this thread I have purchased the M9 gimbals and I am getting ready to install. There is one thing I would like to do differently though. Instead of installing plug sockets on the trim boards, I would rather use the existing wires and solder them to the new gimbals but I don'...

P1 pot really slow
After installing the 9Xtreme and getting things set up I found that the P1 (top left) pot is really slow to respond and has barely any response below zero. I have calibrated repeatedly and P1 will only "center" when the knob is around +70. Could this be something in my firmware like a curv...

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
Please give details of the resistor mod you did for PPMSIM (I don't recall any mod needed for this), so I can check if it needs to be removed. The connections relating to the trainer on the 9X main board are used for different purposes when the 9Xtreme is fitted. Mike. I think he is referring to th...

@Mike.
So, if I have the resistor mod done for simulator use, then it's OK to not remove it and leave it alone?

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
A question about the simulator resistor mod. If I made the mod earlier and now have the 9Xtreme board, do I need to take out the resistor in order to use PPMSIM?
